Koshish Unit students participate enthusiastically in patriotic programme; guests call for greater inclusion and recognition of their talents

Differently-abled children of the Koshish Unit of Uthan Sansthan celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, participating in a programme centred on patriotism, inclusion and the responsibilities of citizens towards the nation.
The programme was organised at Uthan Sansthan, where the national flag was hoisted by Director Dr Anju Bajpai and eminent educationist Dr P.K. Bajpai in the presence of special guests Poonam, Director of Prime Sales Corporation, and her daughters Amayra and Mannat. The participation of the children added a special dimension to the Independence Day celebrations, with students displaying enthusiasm throughout the programme.
The event was organised to mark the national festival and encourage the children to understand the significance of the national flag, freedom and responsible citizenship. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign also provided an opportunity to connect the celebration with the broader message of national unity and participation.
Addressing the gathering, Dr P.K. Bajpai extended Independence Day greetings to everyone and spoke about the significance of displaying the national flag as a collective expression of patriotism.
He said that the practice of hoisting the Tricolour at homes reflects not only an individual’s emotional connection with the national flag but also a commitment towards nation-building. He said initiatives such as Har Ghar Tiranga are intended to awaken feelings of patriotism among citizens and increase awareness about the importance of India’s national flag.
Dr Bajpai said national festivals provide an opportunity for citizens to remember the sacrifices associated with India’s freedom and reflect on their responsibilities towards the country. He also appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the differently-abled children during the programme.
The students participated actively in the celebrations and presented patriotic songs and colourful cultural performances. Their performances created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and patriotism at the institution.
The participation of the Koshish Unit children was particularly appreciated by the guests and organisers. The programme highlighted the importance of providing children with opportunities to participate in social and national events and to showcase their abilities.
Poonam, Director of Prime Sales Corporation, encouraged the children and appreciated their participation. She said differently-abled children deserve equal opportunities and recognition within society.
She stressed that these children need acceptance and a sense of belonging. According to her, society still needs to do more to ensure that differently-abled children receive the respect, encouragement and opportunities they deserve.
Poonam said that parents make significant efforts to support their children, but wider society also has an important responsibility towards them. She emphasised that the abilities and talents of differently-abled children should be identified and given the right direction.
She said that when children are provided with proper opportunities, training and encouragement, they can achieve remarkable accomplishments. She expressed confidence that with appropriate support, differently-abled children can excel in various fields and reach the highest levels of achievement.
Her interaction with the children encouraged them to remain confident and continue developing their abilities. She said that talent should never be judged solely on the basis of physical or other limitations.
Uthan Sansthan Director Dr Anju Bajpai also extended Independence Day greetings to the children, staff members, guests and everyone present at the programme.
She called upon citizens to take a pledge on the occasion of Independence Day to uphold the dignity of freedom through honesty, responsibility and commitment towards society.
Dr Anju Bajpai said that the responsibility of building a responsible and harmonious society rests with every citizen. She emphasised that differently-abled children should be provided opportunities to become part of the mainstream of society.
She said that empowering children with disabilities is not the responsibility of one institution or one family alone. It requires collective efforts from parents, educational institutions, government agencies and society.
According to Dr Anju Bajpai, inclusion should mean more than simply providing physical access. Children should receive opportunities to learn, participate, develop their talents and contribute to society with dignity and confidence.
She said Uthan Sansthan remains committed to creating an environment in which differently-abled children can develop their abilities and participate actively in social activities.
The Independence Day programme also provided the children with an opportunity to express themselves through cultural performances. They presented patriotic songs with enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere of celebration and national pride.
The performances were appreciated by the guests, institution officials and staff members. The children’s participation reflected their enthusiasm for national celebrations and their eagerness to be part of community activities.

Principal Ravindra Mishra, Swati Thakur, Honey Tomar, Sumit Soni, Sunaina, Rajesh, Deepa, Sunny and Rinky from Uthan Sansthan’s Koshish Unit were present on the occasion.
The programme concluded with greetings and a renewed commitment to strengthening the values of patriotism, inclusion, equality and social responsibility.
