Blood Donation Camp in Jagadhri Collects 303 Units During Seva Sankalp Campaign
A blood donation camp organised at Punjabi Dharamshala in Jagadhri collected 303 units of blood as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign being conducted around Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The camp was organised by the Municipal Corporation in collaboration with Vishwas Foundation, with teams from the blood centre of PGIMER Chandigarh and Civil Hospital supporting the collection.
The initiative brought together BJP workers, Municipal Corporation employees and residents from different parts of the city. People began arriving in the morning, and a queue of voluntary donors formed at the venue. Women and young women also participated actively, adding to the reach of the community service programme.
The organisers said the enthusiastic response reflected a willingness among residents to contribute to a cause that can support patients requiring blood during treatment. Donors voluntarily gave blood and were encouraged to continue participating in social-service initiatives.
Kanwar Pal: Blood Donation Can Become a Lifeline
Former Haryana Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal, who attended the camp as the chief guest, said blood donation is among the most noble forms of service. He said a unit of donated blood can become a lifeline for a patient in need and encouraged people to view voluntary donation as an important form of social responsibility.
Kanwar Pal said the Seva Sankalp campaign was intended to connect different sections of society with service-oriented activities. He appreciated the participation of donors and said initiatives that bring people together for humanitarian causes can strengthen the spirit of community service.

Rajesh Sapra Appreciates Donors’ Participation
BJP district president Rajesh Sapra said blood donation is a direct way of serving humanity because the need for blood can arise for any person at any time. He described the collection of 303 units as a reflection of the participants’ willingness to contribute to a community cause and thanked the donors for their support.
He also encouraged residents to continue participating in service activities in the future. The camp, according to the organisers, saw participation from people associated with civic services as well as residents from different areas of Jagadhri and Yamunanagar.
Municipal Corporation Supports Voluntary Blood Donation
Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Prasad said blood donation is an important form of social contribution and urged healthy people to come forward for voluntary donation. He said donated blood can be useful in the treatment of patients who require transfusion and stressed the value of regular, voluntary participation by eligible donors.
The presence of teams from PGIMER Chandigarh’s blood centre and Civil Hospital helped facilitate the collection process. The organisers said the participation of women, young women, civic staff, party workers and members of the public gave the camp a broad community character.
Community Participation Marks the Camp
Several representatives and civic functionaries were present at the camp. Among those mentioned by the organisers were Chief Sanitation Inspector Harjit Singh, Sanitation Inspector Sachin Kamboj, Media Cell In-charge Mukta, BJP district general secretary Narendra Singh Rana, councillors Jayant Swami and others, along with representatives of Vishwas Foundation including Rajnish Vishwas, Sumer, Mulkh Raj, Updesh, Anjala, Sonika and Tina.
Donors were honoured with badges and certificates by Kanwar Pal, Rajesh Sapra, Market Committee Jagadhri chairman Vipul Garg, Priyank Sharma and Nischal Chaudhary. The recognition was presented as an acknowledgement of the voluntary contribution made by participants.
