Emphasising prompt and citizen-centric governance, District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Narendra Singh directed officials to make every possible effort to resolve grievances on the spot during the Samadhan Camp, while ensuring that cases requiring verification or additional documentation are disposed of within a fixed timeline.
Presiding over the district-level Samadhan Camp at the District Secretariat auditorium, DDPO Narendra Singh said the Haryana Government is committed to providing quick, transparent and effective grievance redressal services to the public. He instructed officials from various departments to deal with every complaint sincerely and ensure that no applicant has to make repeated visits to government offices.
“If a grievance cannot be resolved immediately due to document verification or departmental inquiry, officials must ensure its disposal within the prescribed time frame,” he said.
Narendra Singh also informed that, following the directions of the Haryana Government, the schedule for organising Samadhan Camps has been revised to improve accessibility for citizens. The camps will now be held twice a week—every Monday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
He added that, as earlier, the grievance redressal camps will continue to be organised at both the district and sub-divisional levels, enabling people from urban and rural areas to directly approach government authorities with their concerns.
During Monday’s camp, two public grievances were received. Gulkhan Singh requested correction of his Property ID, while Jagiro Devi sought waiver of a pending electricity bill on the grounds that her family is economically weak and unable to pay the outstanding amount.
The DDPO directed the concerned departments to examine both cases in accordance with government rules and ensure that appropriate action is taken without unnecessary delay.
Officials said the Samadhan Camp initiative has become an effective platform for resolving citizens’ grievances through direct interaction with administrative officers, reducing procedural delays and enhancing accountability in public service delivery.
The programme was attended by Special Members Neeraj Gupta and Jagdish Babbar, along with officers representing various government departments, who reviewed the complaints and assured timely action on the issues raised by the applicants.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring transparent, efficient and people-friendly governance through regular grievance redressal camps and appealed to citizens to make full use of the initiative for resolving issues related to government services.
