Suman Bahmani Congratulates Prime Minister Modi
Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Suman Bahmani has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years of public service, describing the period since his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister began on October 7, 2001, as a journey associated with service, governance, development and nation-building.
In her statement, Bahmani highlighted a range of areas that she said have remained central to the development agenda during Modi’s public life. She referred to welfare measures for the poor, women’s empowerment, farmers’ interests, opportunities for young people, infrastructure development and the growing use of digital technology in public services.
Focus on Welfare and Public Services
Bahmani cited schemes including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana and PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, saying that issues directly connected with ordinary citizens have received greater attention.
She also referred to Digital India and UPI, saying that digital platforms have accelerated access to citizen services and digital payments. According to her, initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India and Atmanirbhar Bharat have also encouraged production, innovation and entrepreneurship.

India’s Expanding Global and Technological Profile
The Yamunanagar mayor also pointed to developments in the space and defence sectors as examples of India’s expanding capabilities. She cited India’s G20 presidency and the success of Chandrayaan-3 while speaking about the country’s growing profile on the global stage.
Bahmani said the next phase of the development journey should focus on the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. She described the vision as an aspiration to provide citizens with better education, healthcare, employment opportunities and modern facilities while ensuring a dignified standard of living.
Call for Wider Citizen Participation
According to Bahmani, the task of building a developed India cannot be limited to the government alone. She said young people, women, farmers, workers, entrepreneurs and citizens from every section need to participate in the country’s development journey.
She extended her greetings to the Prime Minister and said the objective of building a stronger, self-reliant and developed nation should be carried forward with renewed energy. Her remarks linked the completion of 25 years in public life with the longer-term development goals being discussed for India’s future.
