The Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation has launched a dedicated helpline, 7082410824, to help residents report civic problems, including stray animals, stray dogs and issues related to cleanliness and sanitation. The initiative aims to provide citizens with a convenient way to bring local concerns to the civic administration’s attention and facilitate their timely resolution.

To spread awareness about the facility, the corporation is putting up hoardings at prominent locations across the city. These include major intersections, hospitals, main roads, the Municipal Corporation office, the court complex, the mandi and other public places.

Hoardings to spread awareness

The awareness campaign is intended to ensure that more residents know how to contact the civic body when they encounter problems in their neighbourhoods. By displaying the helpline number at frequently visited locations, the corporation hopes to encourage citizens to report issues and help the administration identify areas requiring attention.

Residents can use 7082410824 to report concerns involving stray animals, stray dogs, sanitation and cleanliness, as well as other issues falling within the Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction.

Mayor appeals for public participation

Mayor Suman Bahmani said the helpline had been introduced to provide citizens with a simple and convenient way to register complaints. She said the facility would help ensure that information about local problems reached the concerned municipal department in a timely manner, enabling the administration to take appropriate action.

The mayor appealed to residents to report civic problems they notice in their surroundings rather than allowing them to remain unaddressed. She said active public participation would strengthen efforts to make Yamunanagar cleaner, more attractive and better organised.

Maintaining clean public spaces and addressing problems associated with stray animals require coordination between municipal authorities and citizens. The helpline is intended to make it easier for residents to communicate concerns so that the relevant departments can be informed and complaints considered for necessary action.
