Yamunanagar Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal on Sunday congratulated Sub-Inspector Naseeb Singh on his promotion to the rank of Inspector and formally honoured him by pinning the new rank stars on his uniform at the SP office. The ceremony marked an important milestone in the officer’s service career and was attended by other police personnel and employees who extended their congratulations and best wishes.
Promotion Marks Greater Responsibility
Speaking on the occasion, SP Goyal said a promotion in the police force is not merely an advancement in rank but also a recognition of an officer’s dedication, sense of duty, discipline and quality of work. He congratulated Naseeb Singh on the new responsibility and expressed confidence that he would continue to discharge his duties with the same commitment and professionalism.
SP Goyal said that officers entrusted with higher responsibilities are expected to set an example through their conduct, decision-making and interaction with members of the public. He emphasised that the police must maintain law and order effectively while ensuring that citizens receive professional, transparent and responsive services.
The emphasis on responsible policing comes amid continued efforts by Yamunanagar Police to recognise personnel who demonstrate commitment in difficult situations. In a recent instance, SP Kamaldeep Goyal honoured ASI Manoj Kumar for bravery during a Yamunanagar office fire.
Focus on Integrity and Public Service
He further called upon the newly promoted Inspector to work with integrity, impartiality and transparency and to remain focused on preventing crime and maintaining peace in the district. The SP said that public confidence in the police is strengthened when officers perform their responsibilities fairly, listen to citizens and act strictly in accordance with the law.
Goyal also stressed the importance of discipline within the police organisation. According to him, every promotion brings greater responsibility, and an officer must use the authority attached to the new rank in a manner that serves the public interest. He expressed the expectation that Inspector Naseeb Singh would continue to work with dedication and contribute effectively to policing and public safety in Yamunanagar.
The district police administration has also been taking steps to improve public-facing civic and administrative work. Read the report on Yamunanagar-Jagadhri civic offices’ special Clean Office Campaign.
