Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell arrests suspected bike thief in Yamunanagar and recovers stolen motorcycle

Police Act on Secret Information
The Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell of Yamunanagar Police has arrested a suspected motorcycle thief and recovered a stolen bike from his possession, police said. The accused was produced before a court and subsequently sent to judicial custody.
Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell in-charge Rajesh Kumar said his team received confidential information that a युवक was allegedly moving around Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Jagadhri Workshop, on a stolen motorcycle. Acting on the information, a special police team was formed and a naka was established at a possible location.
During the checking operation, police personnel noticed a motorcycle approaching and stopped the rider. Police said the documents produced for the motorcycle appeared suspicious. During further questioning, the motorcycle was found to have been reported stolen, according to the police.
Police Say Bike Was Stolen in August 2024
According to the police, the accused told investigators that he had allegedly stolen the motorcycle from Vivekanand Park in Sarojini Colony on August 5, 2024. Police said the recovery may assist the investigation into vehicle theft cases.
Police identified the accused as Navneet Singh alias Ravi, son of Surender Singh, a resident of Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Jagadhri Workshop. The supplied police information also mentions Deepak, son of Vijay Singh, but does not clearly specify his role in the arrest; therefore, the report does not describe him as a second arrested accused.
Accused Sent to Judicial Custody
