31 units of blood collected at Seva Sankalp donation camp in Yamunanagar

Service Campaign Brings Civic Workers Forward for Blood Donation
As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, the Municipal Corporation organised a blood donation camp at the Yoga Hall in Nehru Park, Yamunanagar, in collaboration with Vishwas Foundation. The initiative brought civic employees and community members together around a public service activity centred on voluntary blood donation.
Chief Sanitation Inspectors Vinod Beniwal and Amit Kamboj, district president of the Municipal Employees Union Haryana Papla, sanitation workers, Home Guard personnel and other participants donated blood at the camp. Their participation gave the programme a strong civic-service focus and encouraged others to contribute to a cause linked to emergency medical needs.
A team led by Dr Nisha from Civil Hospital collected 31 units of blood during the camp. The collection was carried out by the medical team as donors came forward to participate in the drive.
The organisers said the camp was intended to strengthen the spirit of voluntary service and remind eligible, healthy adults of the role regular blood donation can play in supporting patients who require blood during treatment and emergencies.
Public Representatives Encourage Blood Donors
Mayor Suman Bahmani, Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Prasad, former mayor and BJP state minister Madan Chauhan, BJP district president Rajesh Sapra, former chairperson of the Social Welfare Department Malik Rosie Anand, BJP Mahila Morcha district general secretary Manoroma Chaudhary, former chairman of the Haryana Traders Welfare Board Ram Niwas Garg, councillor Vibhor Pahuja, Red Cross Committee secretary Sanjeev Dhiman and media cell in-charge Mukta were among those present to encourage donors.
The guests encouraged participants by putting badges on blood donors and acknowledging their contribution to the drive. The presence of civic representatives, employees and community members also highlighted the involvement of different groups in the service initiative.
Mayor Calls Blood Donation a Major Social Contribution
Mayor Suman Bahmani said blood donation is among the important forms of social contribution and described it as a meaningful way to serve humanity. She said blood may be required by a person at any time and urged healthy people to come forward and donate blood regularly.
Her appeal focused on the continuing need for voluntary donors and the importance of maintaining a pool of people willing to give blood when required.
Madan Chauhan Highlights Life-Saving Value of Donation
Former mayor Madan Chauhan said blood donation is a major act of charity and service. He said blood donated by one person can help save another person’s life when it is needed for treatment or an emergency.
Municipal Corporation Reaffirms Participation in Social Initiatives
Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Prasad said the Municipal Corporation would continue to participate actively in initiatives connected with social welfare and community service. He said the blood donation camp organised under the Seva Sankalp campaign was an effort to encourage wider participation in service-oriented activities.

Message of Humanity and Community Participation
BJP district president Rajesh Sapra said blood donors help people in need while also strengthening a sense of humanity and brotherhood in society. He thanked the donors and encouraged more people to participate in similar service activities.
The programme also brought together representatives from the civic administration, sanitation services, Home Guards, voluntary organisations and the wider community. Such participation provided a common platform for people from different backgrounds to contribute to a public welfare activity.
Among those present were Chief Sanitation Inspectors Harjit Singh and Govind Sharma, CTL Satish Kumar, and members of Vishwas Foundation including Rajnish Vishwas, Sumer, Mulkh Raj, Updesh, Anjala, Sonika and Tina.
Community Service Remains Central to the Campaign
The blood donation camp formed another service-oriented activity under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, alongside wider civic participation efforts. The organisers said the initiative was aimed at motivating citizens and employees to contribute to causes that directly support the community.
With 31 units collected during the drive, the organisers concluded the programme with an emphasis on voluntary participation, public service and continued awareness about the importance of blood donation.
