Community event celebrates elderly residents with cultural performances, awards and welfare initiatives in Khudda Alisher village

In a heartwarming celebration of community service and respect for the elderly, Trinity Seva Foundation organised “Ek Shaam Buzurgon Ke Naam” (An Evening for Elders) at the Gurudwara Hall in Khudda Alisher village, bringing together senior citizens, community leaders and social workers for an evening dedicated to honouring the invaluable contribution of the older generation.

The programme was attended by Jagpal Singh and Jaswinder Kaur, Councillor of Ward No. 1, Chandigarh, as the chief guests. They lauded the Foundation for its continued commitment to social welfare and appreciated its efforts in promoting care, dignity and recognition for senior citizens.

During the event, elderly residents were presented with utility gift hampers and refreshment boxes as a token of gratitude and respect. The initiative aimed to acknowledge their lifelong contribution to society while encouraging stronger community engagement with the needs of senior citizens.

One of the highlights of the evening was a series of vibrant cultural performances by senior citizens from Khudda Alisher village. Participants received enthusiastic applause from the audience and were felicitated with prizes in recognition of their performances.

The Foundation also honoured several social workers from Ward No. 1 for their outstanding contribution to community service, recognising their dedication towards public welfare and social development.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, renowned singer Rajesh Chauhan captivated the audience with a soulful musical performance that was warmly appreciated by attendees.

Concluding the programme, Ritesh Bhatia, President of Trinity Seva Foundation, and Ish Sharma, Vice-President, expressed gratitude to the chief guests, volunteers, supporters and local residents for making the event a success. They reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to organising more community welfare initiatives aimed at promoting social harmony and serving underprivileged sections of society.
