B.Ed students of Sant Nischal Singh College of Education for Women, Yamunanagar, organised a cleanliness awareness rally on Gandhi Jayanti to promote sanitation, civic responsibility and community participation.

Around three tonnes of waste were removed from the Western Yamuna Canal banks during a special riverfront cleanliness and beautification drive from Badi Majra Bridge to the Railway Bridge in Yamunanagar.

Yamunanagar is preparing for the Haryana Safai Mahakumbh on October 7, with around 5,000 people expected to join a simultaneous cleanliness campaign in Model Town. The Municipal Corporation has prepared a route map and sector-wise deployment plan, while 3,630 participants had registered by Thursday.
