MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora lauds youth-led service initiative, says voluntary blood donation can save countless lives while free eye camp brings healthcare closer to rural communities.

Promoting the spirit of community service and humanitarian welfare, Challenge Youth Club organised a voluntary blood donation camp and a free eye check-up camp at Sabapur village on Sunday. The programme was inaugurated by Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora and Market Committee Chairman Rakesh Tyagi, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the event.
A large number of young volunteers donated blood during the camp, while hundreds of villagers benefited from free eye examinations conducted by specialist doctors. Medicines and spectacles were also distributed free of cost to patients requiring treatment.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora described blood donation as one of the greatest forms of social service. He said youth participation in such initiatives helps spread awareness about voluntary blood donation while ensuring the availability of blood for patients in need. He also appreciated Challenge Youth Club for organising the programme at the village level and bringing healthcare services closer to rural residents.
Presiding over the event, Market Committee Chairman Rakesh Tyagi praised the club’s efforts and said such camps play an important role in strengthening healthcare facilities in villages. He encouraged healthy individuals to donate blood regularly, stating that voluntary blood donation does not adversely affect health and can help save many lives.
Social worker Devendra Mehta welcomed the guests and highlighted the club’s various social welfare initiatives. He said the organisation has been actively carrying out community service projects for the past five years. Club President Sudhir Pandey thanked all participants and said the blood donation camp has been organised annually in Sabapur for the past three years. He added that the club’s primary objective is to help the poor and ensure that no life is lost due to a shortage of blood.
Sabapur Sarpanch Neeraj Kamboj, Virendra Tyagi, Roshan Lal, Parvinder Singh, Ram Lakhan, Dr Rajni, Lal Singh, Shyam, Sanjeev Sharma, Sumit Kumar, Vikas Kumar and Jatin Kumar were among those present at the programme.
