Police Step Up Vehicle and Document Checks

Yamunanagar Police have intensified checking across the district as part of a campaign aimed at preventing crime, maintaining law and order and strengthening surveillance at key locations, according to the police.

The campaign is being conducted under the directions of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, with police teams carrying out checks on major roads, intersections and other locations identified for closer monitoring. Suspected persons and vehicles are being checked during the drive, while attention is also being given to compliance with traffic rules.

According to the police spokesperson, the SP has directed all station house officers, police post in-charges and traffic officials to conduct regular checking in their respective areas.

Police teams are checking suspicious vehicles along with their documents and number plates. Particular attention is being paid to vehicles being driven without number plates, vehicles fitted with dark films and instances in which people are driving with their faces covered.

Focus on Suspicious Vehicles and Identification

Police said the checks are intended to identify vehicles and persons requiring verification and to ensure compliance with applicable rules. Action is being taken against vehicle owners or drivers found violating regulations in accordance with the law.
