Hundreds of devotees participate in the religious ceremony and seek blessings at the traditional village gathering

Residents of Sudhail village came together on Sunday to organise the annual religious programme at Nagar Kheda with the participation and support of the entire village community. The traditional event included a Havan ceremony followed by devotional activities and a community feast, with hundreds of devotees participating and offering prayers.
The religious gathering was organised as part of the village’s annual tradition of paying respect to Dada Kheda, a revered local place of worship associated with the faith and cultural traditions of the community. Villagers participated in the Havan and offered ritual oblations, seeking blessings and expressing their devotion.
Traditional Havan Draws Community Participation
The programme began with the Havan at Dada Kheda, where villagers and devotees gathered to take part in the religious ceremony. Participants offered oblations during the Havan and prayed for the well-being, prosperity and harmony of the village and its residents.
Following the Havan, devotional bhajans were organised, creating a spiritual atmosphere at the venue. Villagers participated collectively in the devotional programme and continued the longstanding tradition of coming together on the occasion.
The event was followed by a large community feast organised with the cooperation of the villagers. Devotees and residents participated in the Bhandara and shared the community meal as part of the religious observance.
Speaking on the occasion, Pandit Ghanshyam Das said that the village was believed by the local community to have been established under the blessings and grace of Dada Kheda. He said villagers hold the sacred site in high regard and continue to maintain their connection with the traditional place of worship.
Pandit Ghanshyam Das expressed his appreciation to all residents for extending their cooperation towards the annual religious programme. He said the collective participation of villagers reflected their faith as well as their commitment to preserving longstanding religious and social traditions.
The annual gathering also provided an opportunity for residents to come together beyond their routine activities and participate in a common religious and community event. The organisers said such programmes strengthen social harmony and preserve traditions that have been followed by successive generations.
Hundreds of devotees attended the ceremony during the day and participated in the Havan and devotional activities. The community feast was also attended by villagers and devotees, with arrangements made through collective community support.
The participation of village representatives and residents reflected the collective nature of the event. The village Numberdar, Sarpanch and other residents were present during the programme and extended their support to the organisers.
Religious gatherings at traditional village shrines such as Dada Kheda continue to hold an important place in the social and cultural life of rural communities.
