Students Present Innovative Science, Mathematics and Social Studies Projects; Guests Praise Their Creativity, Curiosity and Problem-Solving Skills

St Lawrence International School, Shahpur Road, Vyasapur, organised a science exhibition under the guidance of Chairperson Dr Rajni Sehgal, providing students with a platform to showcase their scientific thinking, creativity, curiosity and understanding of concepts through innovative models, charts and projects.

Consultant dermatologist Dr Srishti Saini and social worker Ashish Bansal attended the exhibition as special guests. The programme began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and floral tribute at the feet of Siddhivinayak Ganesh and Goddess Saraswati, followed by the ceremonial ribbon-cutting to mark the inauguration of the exhibition.

The exhibition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who presented a wide range of models, charts and projects based on their academic learning. Through their displays, the students attempted to explain various aspects of science and their practical applications in a simple, interesting and engaging manner.

The exhibition was not restricted to science-related projects. Students also displayed several projects connected with mathematics and social studies, reflecting an effort to encourage interdisciplinary learning and help students understand how different academic subjects can be connected with practical situations.

The students enthusiastically explained their models and projects to the guests and visitors. Their presentations reflected their preparation, creativity and interest in understanding subjects beyond conventional classroom learning.

Special guest Dr Srishti Saini inspected the science models prepared by the students and appreciated their creativity and scientific approach. She said educational activities such as science exhibitions help develop greater interest and curiosity about science among students.

She appreciated the efforts made by the students and encouraged them to continue exploring new ideas. Such activities, she said, provide children with opportunities to express their understanding of scientific concepts and learn through practical experiences.

Special guest Ashish Bansal also appreciated the students’ efforts and the work put in by the school in organising the exhibition. He said science exhibitions can contribute to the development of innovation, logical thinking and problem-solving abilities among students.

He encouraged the participants to continue working with curiosity and creativity and to use such opportunities to improve their understanding of different subjects.

Renowned educationist Dr M.K. Sehgal welcomed the guests and appreciated the science models and projects presented by the students. Addressing the gathering, he said activities of this nature play an important role in developing scientific thinking, creativity and curiosity among children.

Dr M.K. Sehgal encouraged the students to take inspiration from the lives and achievements of the guests present at the event. He advised them to continue working hard, remain focused on their goals and make consistent efforts to move forward in life.

He said that practical educational activities provide students with opportunities to develop confidence while presenting their ideas before others. Such experiences can also help students improve their communication abilities and develop a greater willingness to explore new concepts.

Chairperson Dr Rajni Sehgal said the school has been organising such programmes with the objective of increasing students’ interest in science and creating awareness against superstition.

She said the development of scientific thinking is important for the overall growth of students. A science exhibition provides children with an opportunity to ask questions, explore ideas and understand concepts through practical activities, she added.

Dr Rajni Sehgal said such programmes not only promote scientific thinking among students but also boost their confidence and morale. She encouraged the students to continue preparing attractive, informative and knowledge-based models in future as well.

She said students should be encouraged to develop a questioning attitude and approach different subjects with curiosity and reason. According to her, educational activities that combine knowledge with creativity can help children discover their abilities and develop greater confidence in their learning.

The exhibition also provided students with an opportunity to work on projects, prepare presentations and explain their ideas before guests and teachers. Such participation can help students understand the importance of teamwork, preparation and communication in addition to academic knowledge.

The organisers also encouraged all participating students to improve their work and aim for even better performances in future exhibitions. Students were motivated to continue developing their creativity and use their knowledge to prepare innovative projects.
