Agriculture Minister says Prime Minister will unveil major infrastructure projects and flag off India’s first hydrogen-powered train during July 17 visit

Haryana Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana on Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Jind on July 17 would mark a significant milestone in Haryana’s development journey, with the launch of major infrastructure projects and the flagging off of India’s first hydrogen-powered train. Addressing party workers and local leaders, Rana said the Prime Minister would dedicate development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees to the state and formally launch the hydrogen-powered train connecting Jind, Gohana and Sonipat, describing it as a landmark step towards clean energy and sustainable transportation.He said the train would represent India’s growing commitment to green technology, environmental sustainability and modern public transport, while strengthening Haryana’s position as an emerging hub for hydrogen-based infrastructure.The minister also said an eco-friendly rally would be organised in Jind ahead of the Prime Minister’s programme, adding that party workers and the public were showing considerable enthusiasm for the event.Highlighting the achievements of the Centre and the state government, Rana said the “double-engine government” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had accelerated Haryana’s development across multiple sectors.He said continued investments in railways, road infrastructure, healthcare and tourism would create new opportunities for industry, trade, investment and employment, further strengthening the state’s economic growth.

Rana added that the Haryana Government believes in the timely implementation of development projects and delivering the benefits of government schemes to citizens rather than limiting itself to announcements. He said the Prime Minister’s public meeting in Jind would send a strong message of development, public participation and good governance, adding that the occasion would open new avenues for infrastructure-led growth in the state.Among those present were Zila Parishad Chairman Ramesh Chand Thaska, BJP Yamunanagar District Media In-charge Kapil Manish Garg, senior BJP leader Nepal Singh Rana, Market Committee Chairman Rupinder Singh Malli, and Councillor Ujjwal Thakur.
