Painting Talent Hunt brings creativity to the forefront as Sant Nischal Singh College students showcase their artistic skills

Sant Nischal Singh College of Education for Women, Santpura, Yamuna Nagar, organised a Painting Talent Hunt in which students participated enthusiastically and presented their artistic abilities through a wide range of paintings. The activity provided students with an opportunity to express their ideas, emotions and creativity through colours and brushwork.
Students showcase creativity through colours and brushwork
Students created paintings on diverse themes, using colours and brushes to translate their imagination and ideas onto paper. The variety of artwork displayed during the activity reflected the participants’ enthusiasm and their willingness to explore visual expression.
Such creative activities also give students a space beyond routine academic work to explore observation, imagination and individual expression. For students preparing for careers in education, the experience can also help strengthen their appreciation of art as a meaningful part of learning and communication.

Dr Jaspreet Kaur appreciates students’ efforts
Officiating Principal Dr Jaspreet Kaur appreciated the efforts of all participants and said painting is an effective medium for expressing inner emotions and creativity. She also played an important role as a member of the judging panel and presented certificates to the winners.
Dr Kaur encouraged students to take part actively in different competitions and use such opportunities to develop their creative abilities. Her message underlined the importance of giving students platforms where their individual talents can be recognised and encouraged.
Harpreet Kaur secures first position
In the competition results, Harpreet Kaur, a first-year B.Ed student, secured first position. Nidhi, a second-year B.Ed student, stood second. Devayani and Mehak, both from B.Ed second year, jointly secured third position.
The recognition of students from different years of the B.Ed programme reflected the participation of learners across the college. Certificates were presented to the winners in appreciation of their performance and to motivate them to continue participating in creative and co-curricular activities.
Art described as a powerful form of expression
The event was coordinated by Mrs Manju Grover, who addressed the students and highlighted the importance of art in life. She said art is an important part of human expression and provides a powerful means of reflecting emotions. She thanked everyone involved and appreciated the efforts of all participants at the conclusion of the programme.
The Painting Talent Hunt therefore combined competition with encouragement, allowing students to present their creative work while receiving recognition for their efforts. The college’s emphasis on participation and appreciation gave the activity an educational as well as creative dimension.
