All Three Citizen Facilitation Centres to Remain Open on August 29 and 30; NDC Branch Staff to Be Available to Assist Residents

Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation has taken a special initiative to ensure that the maximum number of residents can benefit from the Haryana government’s 75 per cent interest waiver scheme on outstanding property tax. On the directions of Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Prasad, all three Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFCs) of the Municipal Corporation will remain open on August 29 and 30, allowing taxpayers to deposit their outstanding property tax and complete related formalities even during the weekend.
Mayor Suman Bahmani appealed to city residents to make maximum use of the scheme and clear their outstanding property tax within the prescribed period. She said the decision to keep the CFCs open on Saturday and Sunday has been taken specifically to ensure that residents do not face inconvenience while depositing their tax dues.
The Municipal Corporation has also made arrangements for the NDC branch. All concerned officers and employees of the branch will remain present in the office on August 29 and 30 and will assist residents with their queries and property-related services.
The Mayor said the Corporation is continuously working to make civic services more accessible and convenient for residents. Keeping the CFCs open during the weekend is another step in this direction, particularly for taxpayers who may find it difficult to visit municipal offices during normal working days.
Residents Urged to Avail Government Scheme
Mayor Suman Bahmani said property owners who have outstanding tax dues should take advantage of the financial relief being offered by the government instead of delaying payment.
She said the 75 per cent interest waiver provides significant relief to eligible taxpayers and urged residents to complete their payments within the applicable period.
The Mayor emphasized that property tax is an important source of revenue for the Municipal Corporation. The revenue collected through property tax helps the civic body undertake development works and provide various public services and amenities to residents.

Three CFCs to Function During Weekend
According to the Municipal Corporation, all three Citizen Facilitation Centres will function on August 29 and 30 in the same manner as on regular working days.
The arrangement will provide taxpayers with an additional opportunity to clear their dues and avail themselves of the interest waiver scheme. Residents who remain occupied during weekdays can use the weekend facility to approach the Corporation and complete their tax-related work.
The Mayor said the Corporation wants to ensure that the benefit of the government’s relief scheme reaches as many eligible residents as possible. For this purpose, officers and employees have been instructed to cooperate with taxpayers and provide necessary guidance.
The availability of the NDC branch staff on both days will further facilitate residents who require services or information related to No Dues Certificates and other connected matters.
NDC Staff Directed to Assist Residents
Mayor Suman Bahmani said that all officers and employees concerned with the NDC branch will remain available on August 29 and 30.
She directed the staff to ensure that residents seeking assistance regarding property tax payments or related services receive proper guidance. The objective is to make the process smooth and prevent residents from having to make repeated visits to municipal offices.
The Mayor said the Corporation is committed to providing citizen-friendly services and resolving taxpayers’ queries as quickly as possible.
