Yamunanagar Police Arrest Man with 110 Grams of Heroin in Drug Case
Yamunanagar police have arrested a man with 110 grams of suspected heroin (smack) in a case registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, police said. The arrest was made by the Anti-Narcotics Cell during an operation near Durga Garden Colony following a tip-off about a person allegedly carrying narcotics.
According to the police spokesperson, the district police are continuing action against alleged drug trafficking under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal. The arrested man was produced before a court and taken on remand for questioning, while the investigation is continuing.

Anti-Narcotics Cell in-charge Anil Kumar said the team received confidential information that a young man was moving around near Durga Garden Colony with narcotics. Acting on the information, a police team comprising Sub-Inspector Satish Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Kuldeep, Jasvir Singh, Monu, Ravi and Manjit Singh was constituted.
The team reached the location and detained the man found there. A duty magistrate, AETO Mahavir Bishnoi, was called to the spot. Police said that, in the presence of the duty magistrate, the accused was searched and 110 grams of heroin (smack) was allegedly recovered from his possession.
The accused was identified by police as Rakesh alias Kallu, son of Ram Singh, a resident of Durga Garden. A case was registered against him under the NDPS Act and he was produced in court before being taken on remand.

Anil Kumar said the accused would be questioned during remand about where he allegedly obtained the narcotic substance and where it was intended to be sold. Police are also investigating the wider circumstances surrounding the alleged possession and supply of the substance.
The police official further said the accused had previously been named in several alleged drug-trafficking cases that are pending before the courts. Those earlier matters remain subject to judicial proceedings.
Woman Arrested with 33.59 Grams of Heroin Near Dusani Village
A woman was arrested with 33.59 grams of suspected heroin (smack) near Dusani village, according to Yamunanagar police. The arrest was made by the Crime Branch-1 team as part of the district police’s continuing action against alleged narcotics trafficking.
The police spokesperson said the operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal. A case was registered against the woman under the NDPS Act. She was produced before a court and sent to judicial custody, while police continued their investigation.

Crime Branch-1 in-charge Raj Kumar said the team received confidential information that a woman was allegedly involved in selling narcotics near Dusani village. Acting on the information, a team comprising ASI Jagtar Singh, Manish, Raj Bala, Gurvinder, Amarjeet and Sushil was formed and sent to the location.
The team reached the spot and arrested the woman. Police said a duty magistrate was called to the location. In the presence of the magistrate, a female police official conducted the search of the accused, during which 33.59 grams of heroin (smack) was allegedly recovered.
The woman was identified by police as Poonam, a resident of Purana Hamida. She was produced before the court and sent to judicial custody. Police said further investigation was being conducted into the case.

According to the police, the woman is being questioned to determine where she allegedly obtained the narcotic substance. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the alleged possession and intended sale of the substance.
The police said the investigation would also examine whether other persons were involved in the alleged supply chain. Further details are expected to emerge as the investigation proceeds.
