Yamunanagar Police Arrest Arjun With 264 Grams of Heroin in Gulab Nagar Camp, Seize Contraband Worth Rs 10 Lakh

Yamunanagar police have arrested a man identified as Arjun alias Khujli after allegedly recovering 264 grams of heroin, also known as smack, from him during a raid in Gulab Nagar Camp, police said. The seized substance has been valued at around Rs 10 lakh by the police.
Police Say Arrest Followed Secret Information
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajat Gulia told reporters that the operation was carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel as part of the district police’s continuing action against suspected drug trafficking.
According to police, Anti-Burglary Staff-cum-Anti-Narcotics Cell-2, headed by in-charge Raman Chandel, received information that a young man was allegedly moving around Gulab Nagar Camp with narcotic substance and was looking for an opportunity to sell it. A team comprising Sub-Inspector Gurdial Singh, Satish Kumar, Sukhwinder Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector Navtej, Gaurav, Aman and Kuldeep was constituted and sent to the location.
The team detained the suspect and called duty magistrate ETO Kanhaiya Kaushal to the spot. Police said the search was conducted in the magistrate’s presence, leading to the alleged recovery of 264 grams of heroin.
NDPS Case Registered, Court Grants Remand
Police identified the accused as Arjun alias Khujli, son of Munnalal, a resident of Gulab Nagar. A case was registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. He was produced before a court and taken on remand for further investigation.
Investigators will examine where the alleged contraband was sourced and where it was intended to be sold. Police said questioning during remand would focus on identifying the supply chain and any other persons who may have a role, subject to the findings of the investigation.
Police Claim Previous Drug Cases
DSP Gulia said the accused had previously faced around three cases related to alleged drug trafficking and that those matters are pending before the court. Police also said he had been out on bail before the latest arrest.
Property and Financial Trail Under Scanner
Police officials said the accused’s property and financial assets would also be examined to determine whether any assets were allegedly acquired from proceeds linked to narcotics trafficking. Any further legal action will depend on what the investigation establishes, officials said.
