Yamunanagar Civic Body Begins Plantation Drive at Kail Waste Plant
The Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation launched a plantation drive at the Kail waste-treatment plant on Friday under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, bringing elected representatives, ward committee members and civic officials together for an environmental initiative at the waste-management facility.
Municipal Corporation Executive Engineer Harish Kumar, Assistant Engineer Surender Dahiya, Chief Sanitation Inspectors Harjit Singh and Vinod Bainiwal, along with councillors from different wards and ward committee members, planted saplings at the Kail facility and conveyed a message of environmental conservation alongside the cleanliness campaign.
2,000 Saplings Planned Around the Facility
According to the civic body, around 2,000 saplings will be planted around the Kail waste-treatment plant and within its premises. The initiative is intended to develop green cover around the facility while supporting broader efforts to promote environmental protection in the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri area.
