Family claims Class XI student suffered serious ear injury after being slapped; school alleges relatives created a disturbance on campus

Police have launched an investigation after a Class XI student of a Government Senior Secondary School in Jagadhri allegedly suffered a serious ear injury following an altercation with the school’s principal. According to the student’s family, the principal allegedly slapped the boy multiple times, causing severe damage to one of his ears. The school administration, however, has filed a counter-complaint, alleging that the student’s relatives created a disturbance inside the school premises. Police said both complaints have been received and are being examined. In his complaint, the student’s father, Shashidhar, stated that his son Krishna reached school approximately 10 minutes late. He alleged that the principal first asked the student to clean the school premises. When the student reportedly refused, the principal allegedly slapped him repeatedly on both ears. The family claims the assault caused the student’s eardrum to rupture, resulting in hearing loss in one ear. According to the complaint, Krishna informed his family about the incident after returning home, following which he was taken to a hospital. The family said medical examination confirmed a serious ear injury. The parents later approached the school seeking an explanation but, dissatisfied with the response, filed a complaint with the police demanding legal action. The family also stated that Krishna is a promising wrestler who has won a gold medal in the Khel Mahakumbh. Doctors have reportedly advised him to stay away from sporting activities for the time being, putting his participation in a school-level wrestling competition scheduled for August 4 in doubt. Meanwhile, the school administration has alleged that the student’s family entered the campus and created a commotion following the incident.

Jagadhri City SHO Virender said police have received complaints from both parties. He said the investigation will be conducted on the basis of the medical report, available evidence and statements of those involved, after which appropriate legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.
Woman Booked in ₹2.45 Crore Investment Fraud Linked to Share Trading Partnership
A Yamunanagar-based woman, reportedly the daughter of a retired Haryana Police Station House Officer (SHO), has been booked for allegedly cheating a stock market trader of nearly ₹2.45 crore on the pretext of starting a joint share trading business. The case was registered by Sector-17 Police Station following a complaint filed by a trader from Gohana in Sonipat district. Police said an investigation has been initiated under relevant sections related to cheating and other offences, and further action will be taken based on the evidence collected.

According to the complainant, he came in contact with the woman through Instagram in 2023. She allegedly introduced herself as someone interested in the stock market and proposed launching a business together after obtaining a SEBI Research Analyst licence, with both partners sharing profits equally. The complainant alleged that after several meetings, the woman gained his confidence and sought financial assistance on various occasions, citing expenses related to setting up an office, paying instalments for a plot, insurance policies, purchasing a vehicle, jewellery, mobile phones and other personal requirements. Police said the complainant has alleged that between March 2023 and March 2025, he transferred nearly ₹2.10 crore to the woman’s bank accounts through online transactions. He further claimed to have paid around ₹35 lakh in cash and handed over a car worth approximately ₹9 lakh. According to the complaint, the money was allegedly used to purchase a plot, a Mahindra Thar and other assets. However, the proposed business partnership was never established, nor was the money returned. The complainant further alleged that when he demanded the return of his investment, he was allegedly threatened and warned that he could be implicated in false criminal cases using the influence of the woman’s retired police officer father. Confirming the development, Sector-17 SHO Pramod said a case has been registered based on the complaint and all allegations are being investigated. He added that the police will proceed in accordance with the evidence gathered during the investigation.
