St. Lawrence International School, Jagadhri, celebrated the birthdays of more than 75 students born in the months of May, June and July, along with the birthdays and wedding anniversaries of its teaching staff, during a colourful community event held on the school campus. The celebration aimed to strengthen the bond between students and teachers while fostering an atmosphere of love, mutual respect and togetherness.

The programme was led by the school’s Chairperson, Dr Rajni Sehgal, who, along with members of the management committee, joined students and teachers in cutting a ceremonial cake. The management personally greeted the students and staff members, offered heartfelt wishes and distributed cake, making the occasion memorable for everyone present.

The campus echoed with excitement as students exchanged birthday greetings, received blessings from their teachers and celebrated together in an environment filled with warmth, happiness and a strong sense of belonging. The collective celebration reflected the school’s commitment to creating a family-like atmosphere where every child feels valued and appreciated.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Rajni Sehgal said that the smiles and confidence of students are the institution’s greatest achievements. She emphasised that education is not limited to academics but also focuses on the emotional, social and moral development of children.

“Such celebrations help strengthen friendship, promote positive thinking and develop a sense of unity among students. These experiences play an important role in shaping confident, compassionate and responsible individuals,” she said while extending her heartfelt wishes to all the students for a healthy, happy and successful future.

Renowned educationist Dr M.K. Sehgal also shared his message, stating that schools are not merely centres of learning but institutions where the foundation of a child’s overall personality is built. He said educational institutions have the responsibility to nurture values, discipline, equality and humanity alongside academic excellence.

According to Dr Sehgal, programmes that bring students and teachers together create lasting bonds of trust, encourage cooperation and inspire children to become socially responsible citizens. He urged students to move ahead with confidence, remain committed to their goals and strive to become good human beings.

The event also featured a variety of cultural performances presented by students and teachers, including dance performances, poetry recitations and other creative presentations. The performances added vibrancy to the celebration and received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.

Teachers expressed gratitude to the school management for organising the unique celebration, saying that such initiatives help strengthen relationships within the school community while encouraging cooperation, mutual respect and a spirit of brotherhood among students.

The school administration reiterated its commitment to providing an environment that nurtures not only academic excellence but also the emotional and social well-being of every student.

The programme concluded on a joyful note, leaving students, teachers and parents with cherished memories of a celebration that highlighted the values of unity, care and holistic education.
