Kurukshetra reviews preparations for Service Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 with cleanliness drive, blood donation camp and grand drone show planned

A meeting of social and religious organisations and administrative officials was held at the Multi Art Cultural Centre in Kurukshetra to discuss preparations for the successful organisation of Service Sankalp Abhiyan 2026. Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, former Haryana minister of state Subhash Sudha, Chief Minister’s Office in-charge Kailash Saini and district president Ramesh Saini discussed the proposed programmes and sought wider participation from institutions and citizens.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena said the campaign would provide residents an opportunity to share their vision, experiences and ideas about how they would like Kurukshetra to develop as part of the vision of a developed India and their aspirations for Kurukshetra in 2047. He urged social organisations, schoolchildren and ordinary citizens to share their suggestions with the administration so that development planning could reflect local aspirations.
Cleanliness Drive and Blood Donation Camp on September 17
Meena said a cleanliness campaign would be conducted in all Assembly constituencies at 7 am on September 17. This would be followed by a blood donation camp from 10 am, which would continue throughout the day. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is scheduled to participate in the programme.
Later, a rangoli will be created at Brahma Sarovar and a deep-daan programme will be organised. After the evening aarti, a grand drone show will be held. The Deputy Commissioner said directions had already been issued at the sub-divisional level for the campaign and government buildings, pilgrimage sites, temples and gurdwaras would also be decorated on the occasion.
Subhash Sudha Highlights Kurukshetra as Key Campaign Venue
Former Haryana minister of state Subhash Sudha said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini would launch several programmes of the Service Sankalp Abhiyan from Kurukshetra. He said a large blood donation camp would be organised and a major rangoli would be created at the Purushottampura Bough of Brahma Sarovar.
Sudha said the Brahma Sarovar aarti and the Aashirwad Ka Diya programme would also be attended by the Chief Minister, followed by a grand drone show. He described the planned show as unprecedented in the state and said the government and administration had completed preparations. He appealed to people to celebrate the campaign collectively as a festival.
Institutions Asked to Contribute to Blood Donation Record
Kailash Saini, in-charge of the Chief Minister’s Office, appealed to institutions to participate actively in the campaign. He said organisations joining the initiative for specific activities would receive full support from the government and administration. Institutions wishing to contribute in villages or Assembly constituencies outside the city could also coordinate their efforts with the administration.
He said a target had been set to create a record for the highest number of blood donations collected in a single-day camp according to government records. He urged religious, social, educational and other organisations to contribute towards achieving the target.
District-Wide Outreach Planned
District president Ramesh Saini outlined the programmes planned by the party and said the campaign would be taken across the district. He said the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of service and dedication would be communicated to people in every village, while stressing that the cooperation of social and other institutions was essential for completing the initiative effectively.
Those present at the meeting included ADC Pankaj Setia, SDM Pehowa Dr Rahul Kanwaria, SDM Thanesar Aman Kumar, SDM Shahabad Shambhu Rathi, chairman Ravindra Sangwan, chairman Gurnam Saini, vice-chairman Dhooman Singh Kirmach, chairperson Kanwaljit Kaur, KDB honorary secretary Upendra Singhal, Sahil Sudha, Malkit Dhanda and other prominent citizens.
