CJM Nitika Bhardwaj inspects child care centre and old age home in Ladwa, reviews facilities and speaks with children and senior citizens

Under the guidance of District and Sessions Judge Dinesh Kumar Mittal, District Legal Services Authority secretary and Chief Judicial Magistrate Nitika Bhardwaj inspected the child care centre and old age home in Ladwa, Kurukshetra, to review the facilities and basic arrangements being provided to children and senior citizens.
During the visit to the child care centre, CJM Bhardwaj reviewed the arrangements related to accommodation, food, drinking water, cleanliness and other essential facilities. She also interacted with the children and enquired about their well-being, daily needs and the support available to them.
Children Informed About Rights and Support Services
CJM Nitika Bhardwaj spoke with the children about their rights and explained the assistance available to them, including the child helpline facility. She emphasised that children should be able to live in a safe, dignified and supportive environment and should know where to seek help when they face a difficulty.
She also reviewed the quality and arrangements of the food being provided at the centre and assessed whether the essential services required for the children’s care were being maintained properly.
Old Age Home Facilities Also Reviewed
Following the inspection of the child care centre, CJM Bhardwaj visited the old age home in Ladwa and interacted with the senior citizens residing there. She asked about their needs and concerns and reviewed the arrangements for accommodation, food, cleanliness and other basic facilities.
The visit focused on ensuring that vulnerable groups receive essential services in a safe and respectful setting. The interactions also provided an opportunity to understand the practical concerns of the residents directly and assess whether their day-to-day requirements were being addressed.
Officials Directed to Ensure Safe and Dignified Environment
CJM Bhardwaj directed the concerned officials and staff to pay special attention to the facilities and requirements of both children and senior citizens. She stressed the need to provide them with a safe, respectful and better living environment and to ensure that essential services are available properly.
The inspection is part of the legal services authority’s efforts to review the welfare arrangements available to vulnerable sections of society and ensure that their basic rights, safety and dignity receive appropriate attention.
