Nissan Unveils All-New PIXO Electric City Car With 259-km Range

Nissan has unveiled the all-new PIXO, a compact all-electric city car developed for European urban mobility, expanding its electric vehicle line-up with a model focused on everyday practicality, connected technology and accessible electric driving.
The new PIXO offers up to 259 km of WLTP driving range and comes with 50kW DC rapid charging, alongside 11kW AC charging for home and workplace use. Nissan says the car can charge from 15% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes using a compatible DC rapid charger.
Urban EV Built Around Everyday Driving
PIXO has been developed as an A-segment electric city car, with Nissan focusing on the requirements of European towns and cities. The compact model combines a small footprint with a practical interior, connected functions and driver-assistance technology.
According to Nissan, the vehicle is intended for routine urban journeys such as commuting, school runs, shopping and weekend travel. Its compact dimensions are designed to make the car easier to manoeuvre in city environments while the cabin has been packaged to provide useful passenger and luggage space.
Nissan says the model forms part of its wider European EV line-up and represents the company’s approach to bringing electric mobility into the small-car segment.
259-km Range and 50kW Rapid Charging
The PIXO uses a 27.5kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. Nissan describes it as the first LFP battery fitted to a Nissan model in Europe. The company lists a maximum driving range of 259 km under the WLTP cycle.
The standard 50kW DC rapid-charging system can take the battery from 15% to 80% in about 28 minutes, according to Nissan. An 11kW AC charging system is also available for convenient charging at home or at workplaces.
The electric powertrain has a maximum output of 60kW. Nissan says the charging and battery package has been selected to support the everyday requirements of customers who use their vehicles mainly in urban environments.
Flexible Cabin and Useful Luggage Space
Although PIXO is positioned as a compact city car, Nissan has focused on making efficient use of the available interior space. The vehicle measures 3,796mm in length, 1,790mm in width and has a 2,492mm wheelbase.
One of the practical features highlighted by Nissan is the independent sliding rear seats. The arrangement allows users to adjust the cabin according to passenger and luggage requirements.
Nissan lists boot capacity at 356 litres with the rear seats in their normal position. With the rear seats folded, the available luggage capacity increases to 1,221 litres under the VDA measurement method.
The vehicle also has a 9.9-metre turning circle and 140mm of ground clearance, specifications that Nissan says support its urban-focused character.
Google Built-In, Gemini and Connected Services
Connectivity is another major element of the PIXO package. Nissan says the vehicle includes Google built-in, including Gemini, along with connected services designed to support navigation, route planning and vehicle-related functions.
The MyNissan application can provide functions such as navigation, real-time route planning, charging information and selected vehicle controls. The connected technology is intended to reduce the need for drivers to rely on separate devices for everyday journey planning and vehicle information.
PIXO also includes driver-assistance technologies. Nissan lists automated emergency braking, a lane-keeping system and e-Pedal technology among the features available on the new electric model.
Distinctive Design for European Cities
The exterior design has been created to give the compact EV a distinctive identity while maintaining proportions suited to city use. Nissan’s colour palette includes options such as Wonder Purple and Gear Blue, giving the model a youthful visual character.
Masato Koyama, Lead Exterior Designer, Nissan Global Design, said PIXO demonstrates how a compact car can combine practicality with distinctive design. He highlighted the importance of using the vehicle’s compact dimensions efficiently while creating an open and practical cabin.
The design approach reflects Nissan’s effort to make the small electric vehicle functional for urban environments without giving up a recognisable character.
Developed With Renault Partnership
Nissan says PIXO was developed in partnership with Renault, drawing on shared expertise and complementary capabilities. Nissan is responsible for the vehicle’s design, while production is planned at Renault’s Novo Mesto manufacturing facility in Slovenia.
The partnership forms part of Nissan’s broader approach to expanding its European product line-up while using strategic collaboration to accelerate vehicle development.
Customer Deliveries Planned From Early 2027
Nissan has announced that customer deliveries of the PIXO are scheduled to begin from early 2027. However, market-specific pricing, specifications and pre-order information are not being announced at this stage.
The company says further information on pricing, market specifications and pre-orders is expected from December 2026 onwards. This means the figures currently announced should be treated as Nissan’s published European specifications and may not represent final equipment or pricing for every market.
Nissan Expands Its Electric City-Car Portfolio
PIXO adds an A-segment model to Nissan’s European electric vehicle portfolio at a time when compact dimensions, charging convenience and connected technology are increasingly important considerations for urban mobility.
