Haryana Pradesh Vaishya Mahasammelan Holds State Executive Meeting in Rewari
The state executive meeting of the Haryana Pradesh Vaishya Mahasammelan was held at the cinema lounge of BMG Mall in Rewari, bringing together office-bearers and executive committee members from different districts to discuss organisational strengthening, membership expansion and social initiatives.
The meeting was chaired by Rajiv Jain, State President of the Haryana Pradesh Vaishya Mahasammelan and Mayor of Sonipat. Representatives from different districts participated in the proceedings and shared suggestions on how the organisation could develop a stronger and more effective structure at the grassroots level.
Sumeet Gupta, District President of the Yamunanagar unit, and Rajiv Garg, District General Secretary, represented Yamunanagar at the meeting. They actively participated in the discussions and placed several suggestions aimed at strengthening the organisation and increasing its reach among members of the Vaishya community.
Sumeet Gupta Calls for 51-Member District Committees»
Sumeet Gupta said the strength of any social organisation depends substantially on a strong, organised and active district-level structure. He proposed that 51-member district committees should be formed in all 23 districts of Haryana so that a larger number of community members could be brought into the organisational framework and given responsibilities.
According to Gupta, a wider district-level structure would help the organisation connect with people more effectively and provide greater opportunities for members to participate in social and organisational activities. He emphasised that responsibilities at the district level should be distributed in an organised manner to ensure continuity and effective coordination.
Proposal for State In-Charge in Every District»
Gupta also suggested that the state organisation should appoint a state in-charge for every district. The proposed responsibility would involve maintaining regular coordination with district units and supporting them in membership drives, organisational activities, social programmes and future initiatives.
He said such a system could help establish better communication between the state and district organisations. Regular coordination, he added, would allow local units to receive guidance and support while also enabling the state leadership to remain connected with activities taking place at the grassroots level.
Linking Young Generation with Community Icons»
Gupta also emphasised the importance of connecting the younger generation with the inspiring personalities and historical contributions of the Vaishya community. He said the community has a long and distinguished history and that its achievements and contributions should be communicated to young people in meaningful ways.
He suggested that programmes organised on the birth anniversaries and death anniversaries of personalities such as Maharaja Agrasen, Bhamashah, Todar Mal, Seth Hukam Chand Jain and Jamnalal Bajaj should be expanded and given wider participation.
Such programmes, he said, should not remain limited to ceremonial remembrance. They could also include youth interaction sessions, discussion forums, social service activities and talent recognition programmes, enabling young people to better understand the community’s history and its contribution to nation-building.
Organisation to Reach Villages and Ward Levels»
State President Rajiv Jain said the objective of the Haryana Pradesh Vaishya Mahasammelan is to bring different sections of the community together on a common platform. He said the organisation should not remain confined to district headquarters but should be strengthened at the block, town, village and ward levels.
Jain called upon district office-bearers to connect a larger number of community members with the organisation and encourage active participation in social, educational and nation-oriented initiatives. He stressed the importance of collective participation and organisational unity in addressing community concerns and fulfilling wider social responsibilities.
Membership and Future Activities Discussed»
The meeting also discussed the organisation’s upcoming activities, membership campaign, formation of district units and community programmes. The participants reviewed ways to expand organisational participation and make activities more effective at different levels.
The discussion also included plans for observing the birth anniversaries of prominent personalities associated with the Vaishya community. The emphasis was on combining cultural and historical remembrance with programmes that encourage social participation and engagement among young people.
