Students of DAV Police Public School, Jagadhri delivered an impressive performance at the DAV Sports Association competitions, winning gold and silver medals across multiple events and earning selection for the upcoming district-level championships.

In the athletics events, Lovpreet Sindhu and Tanishk Sharma emerged as standout performers by winning gold medals in Shot Put and Discus Throw, respectively. Their first-place finishes secured their qualification for the district-level athletics competition.

The school’s boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams also put up a commendable display, finishing runners-up and claiming silver medals along with trophies.

Individual performances in volleyball also earned district-level recognition. Aryan Sharma (Under-14), Lovpreet Sindhu (Under-17) and Anshul Jain (Under-19) were selected to represent the Jagadhri district volleyball team, reflecting the school’s strong presence in the sport.

The students achieved these milestones under the guidance of Sports Teacher Rahul and teacher Neha Verma, whose coaching and encouragement played a key role in the team’s success.

Congratulating the winners and participants, Principal Anoop Kumar Chopra praised the students for bringing laurels to the school. He also appreciated the efforts of Sports Teacher Rahul and Neha Verma for their dedication in nurturing young sporting talent.

Highlighting the importance of sports in education, the Principal said games not only keep students physically fit but also develop mental strength, discipline, perseverance and the ability to accept both victory and defeat gracefully.

“A good sportsperson develops into a confident and strong individual who is well prepared to face life’s challenges,” he said, while wishing all the players success in the upcoming district-level competitions.
