Police Trace Alleged Heroin Supply Chain
The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Yamunanagar Police has arrested an alleged main supplier in connection with the recovery of 45 grams of heroin, also known as smack, from an accused arrested earlier. Police said the latest arrest followed information obtained during questioning of the first accused.
According to the police spokesperson, the district police are continuing action against drug trafficking under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel. The latest operation was carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Cell team, which traced the alleged source of the narcotic substance after investigating the earlier seizure.
Earlier Arrest Led Police to Alleged Supplier
Anti-Narcotics Cell in-charge Anil Kumar said the team had arrested Rahul alias Kaka, a resident of Bank Colony, on August 21 and recovered 45 grams of heroin from his possession.
During questioning, Rahul allegedly told investigators that he had obtained the heroin from Naushad, son of Yasin, a resident of Dumjheda village in Saharanpur. Acting on the information, the police team proceeded with further investigation and arrested Naushad.
Police said the arrest of the alleged supplier was part of the follow-up investigation into the earlier seizure. The accused was subsequently produced before a court and sent to judicial custody.

Investigation Continues
The police said further investigation into the case is underway. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the supply of heroin and the alleged connection between the two accused.
The latest arrest comes as the district police continue their stated efforts to identify and act against people allegedly involved in the supply of narcotic substances. The Anti-Narcotics Cell is also examining the case details as part of the ongoing investigation.
The police have presented the allegations and the recovery as part of the investigation. The accused persons will have the opportunity to contest the allegations through the legal process.
