One Roof for Multiple Government Services»

A Seva Setu Abhiyan – Government at Your Doorstep public grievance redressal camp was organised on Tuesday at the premises of the Municipal Corporation office in Jagadhri, providing residents an opportunity to access information and assistance related to various government services at a single location.

The camp was organised under the guidance of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mahabir Prasad. Officials from the Municipal Corporation and various other departments remained present at the venue to listen to citizens’ concerns and initiate necessary action on matters brought before them.

The initiative was aimed at reducing the need for residents to visit different government offices for routine queries, applications and information. By bringing officials from different departments together, the administration sought to provide citizens with a more convenient platform for understanding government schemes and accessing available services.

Citizens Receive Guidance on Welfare Schemes»

A large number of residents reached the camp with their individual problems, requirements and queries. Officials from the concerned departments listened to the issues and guided eligible citizens about the procedures required to avail themselves of different welfare schemes and government services.

Citizens were provided information about eligibility criteria, application procedures and required documents. The officials explained the process to applicants so that they could understand the formalities involved and take the necessary steps without unnecessary delays.

The camp also provided an opportunity for residents who may otherwise find it difficult to identify the concerned department for a particular service. Officials were available at the same venue to explain the relevant procedure and guide applicants towards the appropriate service.

Administration Seeks to Reduce Repeated Office Visits»

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mahabir Prasad said the primary objective of the Seva Setu camp is to make government welfare schemes and public services more accessible to eligible beneficiaries. He said citizens should be able to obtain necessary information and guidance at one place instead of making repeated visits to different government offices for relatively small issues or queries.

He said the camp is also intended to strengthen direct communication between citizens and government departments. When officials are available at a common platform, residents can explain their concerns directly and understand the steps required for resolution or for applying for a particular service.

The Commissioner appealed to residents to make use of such camps and obtain information about their eligibility for various welfare schemes. He encouraged citizens to follow the prescribed application process and keep the required documents ready while applying for government benefits.

Officials Explain Application Process and Required Documents»

Officials present at the camp also encouraged citizens to approach the concerned department whenever they require clarification or assistance regarding a government scheme or service. Residents were informed that understanding eligibility requirements and completing the prescribed documentation correctly can help avoid unnecessary delays in processing applications.

The administration emphasised that the purpose of such outreach initiatives is not merely to receive complaints but also to create greater awareness among residents about the services and welfare programmes available to them. Direct interaction with officials can help citizens understand where and how they can seek assistance.

Multi-Department Participation Strengthens the Camp»

The presence of officials from different departments allowed residents to seek assistance on a range of matters from a common platform. The initiative reflects an effort to make public services more accessible by bringing the administration closer to citizens.

Officials and employees present during the camp included Municipal Corporation Executive Officer and Radaur Municipal Committee Secretary Surender Malik, Assistant Engineer Muneswar Bhardwaj, Chief Sanitary Inspector Harjit Singh and Chief Sanitary Inspector Amit Kamboj, along with officials and employees from various departments.

The administration encouraged residents to remain informed about government welfare schemes and to make use of outreach camps and other public service platforms whenever they need information or assistance. Such initiatives can help bridge the gap between government departments and citizens by providing direct access to officials and clear guidance on available services.
