₹36.06 Lakh Development Works Launched in Yamunanagar Wards 3 and 5

Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation has launched development works worth around ₹36.06 lakh in Wards 3 and 5, including a new park in Amar Vihar and construction of streets along with an underground pipeline in Agrasen Nagar.
Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation has initiated a fresh set of development works in Wards 3 and 5, with Mayor Suman Bahmani laying the foundation stones for projects estimated at around ₹36.06 lakh on Friday.
Former Haryana Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal, councillors Jayant Swami, Bhanu Pratap and Nishchal Chaudhary were also present during the foundation-laying programme. The works were formally launched by breaking coconuts, following which the Mayor directed officials and the agencies concerned to complete the projects within the stipulated time while maintaining construction quality.
₹18.26 Lakh Park Planned in Amar Vihar
In Ward 3, the Municipal Corporation will develop a park in Amar Vihar Colony at an estimated cost of ₹18.26 lakh. According to Mayor Suman Bahmani, the project is intended to provide residents with a dedicated space for morning and evening walks, exercise and outdoor activities.
The development of the park is also expected to add green space to the locality and improve its overall appearance. The Mayor said the project would provide residents with a cleaner and more organised public space for regular physical activity and community use.
She said the civic body was working to strengthen basic amenities in every ward and that development projects were being taken up according to local requirements. She also directed the officials and agencies involved to ensure that the work was carried out according to the prescribed standards.
₹17.80 Lakh Street and Pipeline Work in Agrasen Nagar
In Ward 5, streets will be constructed in Agrasen Nagar Colony along with the installation of an underground pipeline. The project has been sanctioned at an estimated cost of ₹17.80 lakh.
The planned street construction will cover three stretches in the locality. These include the stretch from Dushyant Rana’s house to Satpal’s house, from Satpal’s house to Deepak Sunil’s house, and from Parvesh Gurjar’s house to Bala Tent.
The civic works are aimed at improving access within the locality and providing residents with better road connectivity. The underground pipeline component is also part of the planned infrastructure work in the area.
Mayor Suman Bahmani said the Municipal Corporation’s objective was to strengthen basic civic facilities in all wards and ensure that residents receive better infrastructure in their neighbourhoods.
The latest projects cover two different civic needs—green public space in Amar Vihar and basic street and underground pipeline infrastructure in Agrasen Nagar—reflecting ward-level development priorities within Yamunanagar-Jagadhri.
Mayor Stresses Quality and Timely Completion
During the programme, Bahmani instructed the officials and agencies concerned to complete the works within the stipulated schedule and ensure that the quality of construction was not compromised.
The Mayor said negligence in development works would not be tolerated and that the Municipal Corporation was focused on improving basic facilities across the city. She emphasised that projects should benefit residents and be executed according to the required standards.
Former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal said development of the city was being given priority and that new works were being taken up in different areas. He said the construction of parks, roads and streets would help provide improved civic facilities to residents.

The programme was attended by BJP Mandal General Secretary Pratap Verma, Ram Kumar Kamboj, P.D. Swami, Sunil Telipura, Kalaram, Booth President Ram Kumar Yadav, Pankaj Vig, Puneet, Yogesh, Sonu Kamboj and Amit Bhardwaj, among others.
