Jagadhri City Police have registered a case against Mohammad Javed, principal of Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Jagadhri, on allegations of assaulting a Class 11 student and causing a serious injury to his ear. The student, 17-year-old Krishna, is a gold medal-winning wrestler who allegedly suffered a ruptured eardrum following the incident.
The case was registered after the victim’s family received legal assistance, medical examination reports became available and a legal opinion was obtained from the District Attorney, Yamunanagar. According to advocate Bhupinder Kumar, who is representing the victim’s family, Krishna Sharma, son of Shashidhar and Neha Sharma of Brahman Chowk, Jagadhri, is an accomplished young wrestler. The lawyer said Krishna has won a gold medal in the Khel Mahakumbh and has been actively pursuing wrestling alongside his education.
The alleged incident took place on July 30, 2026, when Krishna returned to school after attending wrestling practice at Tejli Stadium. According to the complaint and the version provided by his lawyer, the student reached the school approximately 10 minutes late after his practice session.
The lawyer alleged that the school principal stopped Krishna at the gate and asked him to sweep the school ground and pick up garbage as a form of punishment for arriving late. When the student allegedly refused to carry out the task, the principal is accused of repeatedly slapping him on both ears.
Bhupinder Kumar alleged that Krishna was slapped between 15 and 20 times and was also threatened with serious consequences. The repeated blows allegedly caused a severe injury to his ear, following which the student experienced difficulty hearing.
The victim’s family subsequently sought medical treatment and examination. According to the lawyer, the Medical Legal Report and a PTA examination conducted at LNJP Hospital, Kurukshetra, confirmed serious injury to the student’s ear. The alleged injury also affected Krishna’s participation in wrestling. According to his family and lawyer, he was unable to participate in a tournament scheduled for August 4 because of the injury.
