Forms related to claims and objections handed over to political parties and BLA representatives; booth-level camps to be held on August 22, 23, 29 and 30

In accordance with the directions of the Election Commission of India, forms related to claims and objections received under the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls 2026 up to August 13 were handed over to representatives of political parties and Booth Level Agents during a meeting chaired by SDM Narendra Kumar, who is also the Electoral Registration Officer for the 10-Radaur Assembly Constituency.
The meeting was organised as part of the ongoing revision exercise aimed at preparing accurate and error-free electoral rolls and ensuring that all eligible citizens are included in the voter list.
During the meeting, Forms No. 9, 10, 11, 11A and 11B, relating to claims and objections received during the revision process, were provided to the presidents and representatives of political parties as well as BLA-1 representatives.
SDM Narendra Kumar said that the Election Commission of India is carrying out the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls 2026 with the objective of making the voter lists more accurate and comprehensive. The exercise is also aimed at ensuring that every eligible person gets an opportunity to have his or her name included in the electoral rolls.
He said that the draft electoral rolls were published on July 31, 2026, in accordance with the schedule issued by the Election Commission of India. The draft voter lists have also been made available to all recognised political parties for scrutiny and participation in the revision process.
Narendra Kumar emphasised the importance of cooperation from political parties, Booth Level Agents and other stakeholders in ensuring that the electoral rolls remain accurate and inclusive. He said that representatives of political parties have an important role in identifying eligible voters who may have been left out of the electoral list and in bringing any discrepancies to the notice of the election authorities through the prescribed procedure.
The SDM further informed that all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will organise special camps at their respective polling booths on August 22, 23, 29 and 30, 2026.
These camps will provide eligible citizens and voters with an opportunity to participate in the revision process and complete the necessary formalities related to the electoral rolls.
He appealed to BLA-1 representatives, political parties and other prominent citizens to extend their full cooperation to the election authorities and encourage eligible citizens to participate in the Special Intensive Revision programme.
The SDM said that public participation is essential for maintaining accurate voter lists and ensuring that eligible voters are not deprived of their democratic right to vote. He urged all concerned stakeholders to spread awareness about the booth-level camps and motivate eligible residents to visit their respective polling stations during the scheduled dates.
The Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls 2026 is being carried out under the directions and guidelines of the Election Commission of India. Through the exercise, election authorities are working to update the voter database, address claims and objections and improve the accuracy of electoral records.
The administration has called upon political parties, their representatives and Booth Level Agents to actively participate in the process and support the Election Commission’s efforts to prepare comprehensive and error-free electoral rolls for the 10-Radaur Assembly Constituency.
