DC Deployed at Waste-Sensitive Locations Across Kurukshetra to Maintain Law and Order; Police Force to Be Deployed If Required

Kurukshetra Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena has ordered the appointment of 29 Duty Magistrates across the district in view of the ongoing strike by employees of municipal councils and municipal committees. The decision has been taken to maintain law and order, prevent disputes and untoward incidents, and ensure proper administrative arrangements at locations where accumulation of waste has made them sensitive.
The Deputy Commissioner said that several locations under Municipal Council Thanesar and Municipal Committees Pehowa, Ladwa and Shahabad have been identified as waste-sensitive points due to the strike. Duty Magistrates have been appointed at these locations to monitor the situation, prevent any confrontation and ensure that necessary action can be taken promptly whenever required.
He said the administration is keeping a close watch on the situation and that police personnel will also be deployed at the identified locations whenever necessary. The officers have been directed to coordinate with the concerned departments and ensure that law and order remains undisturbed. Administrative Arrangements Strengthened The district administration has taken the decision as a precautionary measure to prevent disputes, fights or any other untoward incident that may arise during the ongoing sanitation-related situation. The administration has also made arrangements for the removal of accumulated waste from sensitive locations while ensuring that the process is carried out without disturbing public order.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena said that the administration’s priority is to maintain peace and ensure that residents do not face unnecessary inconvenience because of the prevailing situation. The appointment of Duty Magistrates will provide an administrative presence at the identified points and facilitate immediate intervention in case of any dispute or law-and-order concern.
The administration has also made it clear that police assistance will be sought wherever the situation demands. The deployment of police personnel will be coordinated with the Duty Magistrates and other officials responsible for the respective locations.
13 Duty Magistrates Assigned in Thanesar:
A total of 13 officers have been appointed as Duty Magistrates at different points under Municipal Council Thanesar.
District Mining Officer Rohit has been assigned Point No. 1, while Municipal Council Executive Engineer Ravi will be responsible for Point No. 2. District Education Officer Vinod Kaushik has been appointed at Point No. 3.
At Point No. 4, Executive Engineer of the KADA Division Suraj Prakash has been appointed Duty Magistrate. Municipal Council Executive Officer Rajesh Kumar has been assigned Point No. 5, while District Town Planner Naveen Kumar will oversee Point No. 6.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Dalbir has been appointed at Point No. 7. District Sports Officer Manoj Kumar will be responsible for Point No. 8, while Thanesar Tehsildar Sanjay Jain has been assigned Point No. 9.
District Fisheries Officer Suman Rani has been appointed at Point No. 10. Water Services Engineering Division SDO Gurjinder Singh will oversee Point No. 11. HDO Shyam Singh Dhakad has been assigned Point No. 12, while HVPNL Executive Engineer Sandeep Kumar will be responsible for Point No. 13.
Four Officers Assigned in Ladwa:
In Municipal Committee Ladwa, four officers have been appointed as Duty Magistrates.
Tehsildar Navan Dhania has been assigned Point No. 1, while Naib Tehsildar Balkar Singh will oversee Point No. 2. Panchayati Raj SDO Surender Kumar has been appointed at Point No. 3, and Panchayati Raj SDO Aman Hussain has been assigned Point No. 4.
The officers will monitor the respective locations and coordinate with municipal and police authorities to ensure that the situation remains peaceful.
Six Officers Assigned in Shahabad:
For Municipal Committee Shahabad, six officers have been designated as Duty Magistrates.
SDO Ankush Kamboj has been assigned Point No. 1, while SDE Surender Mohan Chhabra will oversee Point No. 2. Panchayati Raj SDO Avinash has been appointed at Point No. 3.
At Point No. 4, UHBVN SDO Ramesh Kumar Saini has been appointed Duty Magistrate. Tehsildar Navneet will be responsible for Point No. 5, while Naib Tehsildar Rahul has been assigned Point No. 6.
Five Officers Assigned in Pehowa:
In Municipal Committee Pehowa, five officers have been appointed. Tehsildar Poonam has been assigned Point No. 1, while B&R SDO Amit Gupta will oversee Point No. 2. Panchayati Raj SDO Sumit has been appointed at Point No. 3.
Irrigation Department SDO Rakesh Kamboj has been assigned Point No. 4, while AEE Ajay Kumar Gangas will be responsible for Point No. 5.
Focus on Law and Order and Waste Management:
The administration’s decision comes amid concerns over the accumulation of waste at different locations because of the municipal employees’ strike. Such locations have been identified so that the authorities can monitor the situation closely and take timely action.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena said the administration would not allow any situation to develop that could threaten public safety or disturb law and order. Officers have been instructed to remain alert and ensure coordination among the administration, municipal bodies and police.
He said that if any dispute or confrontation arises at a waste-sensitive location, the concerned Duty Magistrate will take appropriate action in coordination with the police and other departments. The administration will also ensure that the identified locations remain under continuous observation.
The deployment of 29 Duty Magistrates across the four municipal areas is aimed at ensuring a coordinated response during the strike. The arrangement will remain in force until the situation becomes normal.
The district administration has appealed to residents to cooperate with the authorities and avoid any confrontation at waste collection or disposal locations. Officials have also been instructed to perform their responsibilities with sensitivity and ensure that the public does not face unnecessary difficulties.
