Five complaints related to different government departments were received during the Samadhan Camp organised at the SDM Office in Chhachhrauli, where SDM Jaspal Singh Gill listened to the grievances of members of the public and directed the concerned officials to ensure their resolution on priority. The complaints were forwarded to the respective departments for necessary action and disposal within the prescribed timeframe.
Addressing officials during the camp, SDM Jaspal Singh Gill said the Samadhan Camps are being organised in accordance with the directions of the state government with the objective of providing citizens with a simple, accessible and effective mechanism for resolving their grievances. He said the administration is committed to ensuring that people do not have to make repeated visits to government offices for issues that can be resolved through timely coordination between departments.
The SDM said citizens can bring their grievances relating to Family Identity Cards, ration cards, social security pensions, police matters, Panchayati Raj institutions and other government departments to the Samadhan Camps. He said these camps provide a direct platform where residents can place their problems before the administration and receive guidance regarding the appropriate process for resolution.
Jaspal Singh Gill emphasised that complaints which can be resolved immediately should be disposed of at the camp itself, wherever possible. In cases where a complaint requires verification, investigation or completion of a formal procedure by a particular department, the matter should be referred to the concerned department without delay. He instructed officials to ensure that such cases are processed within the stipulated timeframe and that applicants are not left waiting unnecessarily.
He said the purpose of the Samadhan Camp is not merely to receive complaints but to ensure that grievances reach the appropriate authority and are followed up until a solution is achieved. He directed officers and employees to maintain sensitivity while dealing with members of the public and to give priority to genuine grievances requiring immediate attention.
The SDM further instructed officials to ensure effective coordination among departments so that complaints involving more than one government agency can also be resolved efficiently. He said unnecessary delays in grievance redressal can cause inconvenience to citizens and undermine their confidence in the administration. Officials must therefore work with a service-oriented approach and ensure that eligible applicants receive relief within the prescribed time.
He also said that citizens should make proper use of the Samadhan Camp mechanism and bring their genuine problems before the administration. The initiative, he added, is intended to strengthen direct communication between citizens and government authorities and ensure that public grievances are addressed in a transparent and time-bound manner.
During the camp, representatives from several departments were present to assist in receiving and processing complaints. From the Electricity Department, JE Sanjeev attended the camp, while Padam Kaushik represented the Health Department. Mahesh attended on behalf of the Women and Child Development Department, Amit represented the Sports Department and Robin was present from the Public Health Department.
Vikram represented the Social Welfare Department, Rahul attended from the Public Works Department and Rohit represented the Panchayati Raj Department. Officials and employees from other departments were also present and participated in the grievance-redressal process.
The presence of officials from multiple departments enabled residents to place their concerns before the administration without having to approach different offices separately. The complaints received during the camp were examined and subsequently forwarded to the concerned departments for appropriate action.
The administration reiterated that complaints requiring departmental action would be monitored so that they are addressed within the prescribed period. Officials were also reminded that timely communication and proper follow-up are essential components of effective public grievance redressal.
The Samadhan Camp concluded with directions to the concerned departments to act promptly on the five complaints received. SDM Jaspal Singh Gill stressed that the administration’s priority should remain the welfare and convenience of citizens and that every possible effort should be made to provide timely relief.
The camp reflected the administration’s emphasis on direct public interaction and time-bound grievance redressal. By bringing officials from different departments together at one platform, the initiative aims to make the process of submitting and resolving public complaints more accessible and responsive for residents of Chhachhrauli and surrounding areas.
