IGP Pankaj Nain Confers Promotion from EHC to EASI, Hailing Long Service, Experience and Commitment to Public Safety

Twenty-five police personnel of the Ambala Range were promoted on Tuesday, August 11, ahead of Independence Day, marking a significant moment of recognition for officers who have completed nearly 22 years of dedicated service.

The promotions were announced by Inspector General of Police, Ambala Range, Pankaj Nain, IPS, who promoted the 25 police personnel from the rank of EHC to EASI.

The promotion, coming after more than two decades of service, was described as a recognition of the employees’ long-standing contribution, discipline and commitment to their duties.

With Independence Day approaching, the occasion also carried special significance for the police personnel. While the country prepares to celebrate its independence and national pride, members of the police force continue to perform their responsibilities related to public safety, law and order and internal security.

Addressing the promoted personnel, IGP Pankaj Nain congratulated them and extended his best wishes to them and their families. He said that receiving a promotion after approximately 22 years of service was a matter of pride for every police employee.

Nain said the police force plays an important role in maintaining internal security, ensuring law and order and protecting citizens. He expressed confidence that the promoted personnel would use their long experience and professional knowledge while taking on their new responsibilities.

He expected the personnel to discharge their duties with greater dedication, honesty and sensitivity in their promoted roles. He said their long experience in police service represented an important professional asset that could contribute to the effectiveness of the department.

The IGP also encouraged the promoted personnel to use their experience to guide younger members of the police force. Experienced personnel, he said, can play an important role in strengthening departmental functioning by sharing practical knowledge and professional experience with colleagues who are at an earlier stage of their careers.

The promotion ceremony therefore represented not only recognition of individual service but also an opportunity for the department to benefit from the experience of personnel who have spent more than two decades in the police service.

Nain said the responsibilities of the police extend beyond enforcement and include maintaining public confidence, responding sensitively to citizens and ensuring that law and order is maintained effectively.

He encouraged the promoted employees to approach their new responsibilities with a strong sense of duty and professionalism. Their experience, he said, should help them handle responsibilities with maturity while maintaining discipline and integrity.

The promotions were granted to police personnel from Ambala, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra districts.

From Ambala district, eight police personnel were promoted. They include EHC Sher Singh, EHC Rajesh Kumar, EHC Jaswinder Singh, EHC Sandeep Kumar, EHC Avtar Singh, EHC Kiran Pal, EHC Ram Pratap and EHC Satish Kumar.

From Yamunanagar district, six personnel were promoted: EHC Vikram Singh, EHC Randhir Singh, EHC Randhir Singh, EHC Jaipal, EHC Ashok Kumar and EHC Aminder Singh.

The list provided by the police department contains two entries under the name EHC Randhir Singh for Yamunanagar district, and both have been retained as provided in the official press note.

From Kurukshetra district, 11 police personnel were promoted. They include Woman EHC Mukesh Rani, EHC Satbir Singh, EHC Balraj Singh, EHC Ashok Kumar, EHC Sushil Kumar, EHC Rajesh Kumar, EHC Som Dutt, EHC Sukhbir Singh, EHC Bhim Singh, EHC Amrik Singh and EHC Balinder Singh.

Together, the three districts account for all 25 promotions announced by the Ambala Range.

The promotion ahead of Independence Day provides an opportunity to recognise the contribution of police personnel who have continued to serve through more than two decades of professional duty. Their experience includes years of working in the field and carrying out responsibilities associated with maintaining public order and security.
