Public grievances related to road infrastructure, electricity, property identification and other civic issues were raised during a Solution Camp organised at the District Secretariat in Yamunanagar.
The camp was held under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Preeti as part of the state government’s initiative to provide citizens with a direct platform for raising their problems and seeking their timely resolution.
Revenue Department Assistant Superintendent Anjana, who presided over the camp, said the Solution Camps are being organised in accordance with the directions of the state government with the objective of ensuring prompt disposal of public complaints.
She said the camps are being conducted twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The initiative is being implemented at both district and sub-divisional levels so that residents can approach the administration with their grievances without having to wait for regular administrative procedures.
During the Solution Camp held at the District Secretariat auditorium, five complaints were received from residents regarding different civic and public-service related issues.
Among the complaints, Praveen Kumar of Sudhail raised an issue concerning the construction of a roadside berm. He sought appropriate action regarding the condition of the road side and requested that the necessary work be carried out.
Another complaint was submitted by Ramesh Kumar of Nangal Khajuri, who raised the issue of non-action despite a complaint having already been registered during an earlier Solution Camp. He sought intervention from the administration and requested that his pending grievance be examined and addressed.
Sampuran Singh of Rampura brought an electricity-related problem before the camp. He requested that the wires connected to an electricity pole be properly arranged and corrected to address the issue.
A property-related grievance was raised by Lal Chand of Yamunanagar, who sought assistance regarding the creation of a Property ID. The matter was placed before the officials for consideration and necessary action.
Another complaint was submitted by Ankush Bakshi of Vikas Nagar, who raised an issue concerning an allegedly excessive surcharge imposed by the electricity department. He requested that the surcharge be waived and that the matter be examined through an impartial inquiry.
The range of complaints presented during the camp reflected issues directly affecting residents in their day-to-day lives, including road-related infrastructure, electricity services and property documentation.
The administration said the purpose of holding the camps at fixed times is to provide citizens with an accessible mechanism through which their complaints can be placed before the concerned authorities.
The initiative also seeks to strengthen direct communication between citizens and the administration and facilitate coordination among departments responsible for resolving public grievances.
Officials present at the camp were apprised of the complaints raised by residents and the issues were taken up for appropriate consideration.
The administration has emphasised that the Solution Camps are intended to make grievance redressal more accessible and responsive. By conducting the camps at both district and sub-divisional levels, residents can approach the administration closer to their respective areas.
Assistant Superintendent Anjana said citizens should make use of the scheduled camps to bring their genuine problems to the notice of the administration.
The camps are being conducted every Monday and Thursday between 10 a.m. and 12 noon, providing a regular opportunity for residents to submit grievances and seek assistance from the concerned departments.
The initiative is part of the state government’s broader effort to improve public service delivery and ensure that citizens’ complaints are addressed through a structured administrative mechanism.
Special members of the Solution Camp, Khareti Lal Batra, Neeraj Gupta and Jagdish Babbar, along with officials from various departments, were present during the proceedings.
The administration said coordination between departments would remain important for ensuring that complaints received through the camps are taken up by the appropriate authorities and processed further.
The Solution Camp also provides officials with an opportunity to understand recurring problems faced by residents and identify areas where administrative intervention may be required.
With the camps being held regularly, citizens will have a fixed forum to approach the administration regarding their grievances instead of waiting for occasional public hearings.
The district administration has encouraged residents to use the facility and bring their problems before the concerned authorities during the scheduled hours.
