District administration says grievance redressal camps are ensuring faster resolution of public issues at district and sub-divisional levels.

The Yamunanagar district administration on Monday continued its public grievance redressal initiative by organising a Samadhan Camp at the District Secretariat, where three complaints were received and forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt action.
The camp was conducted under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Preeti, while Office Superintendent Anoop Kumar presided over the proceedings.
He said the Haryana Government has launched the Samadhan Camps to ensure speedy resolution of citizens’ grievances. The camps are being organised every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at both district and sub-divisional levels, enabling residents to present their issues directly before the administration.
During the camp, Rocky Mittal of Yamunanagar requested cleaning of the sewer line near the Indian Petrol Pump. Kripal Singh, a resident of Dasaura, sought correction of an incorrect electricity bill linked to his Family Identity Card (PPP), while Gurmail Singh of Ambwala raised a complaint regarding an allegedly incorrect electricity bill issued by the power department.
Anoop Kumar said the administration is committed to ensuring that every complaint is addressed in a transparent and time-bound manner. He added that departments concerned have been instructed to examine each case and resolve genuine grievances at the earliest.
The camp was attended by special members Khraiti Lal Batra, Neeraj Gupta and Jagdish Babbar, along with officials from various government departments, who interacted with citizens and reviewed the complaints received.

Newly appointed Honorary General Secretary of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council, Meena Kamboj, paid her first official visit to the Children’s Home operating at Bal Kunj in Yamunanagar, where she reviewed the facilities, interacted with children and staff, and emphasised the need for quality care and a clean environment.
During the inspection, Kamboj met the children and patiently listened to their experiences and concerns. She also held discussions with the staff, urging them to continue working with dedication to ensure the overall well-being, safety and development of every child residing at the institution.
Highlighting the importance of hygiene and a healthy atmosphere, she directed officials to maintain the premises in a neat and clean condition. As part of the visit, she also planted a sapling within the campus, reinforcing the message of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
District Child Welfare Officer Sukhminder Singh accompanied her during the inspection. Other officials present included Ashok Rohilla, Chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, Yamunanagar; Mona Chauhan, Superintendent; Balwinder Singh, Superintendent of the Children’s Home; Assistant Sachin Kumar; Supervisor Monika Malik; Accountant Devender; and Accounts Clerk Naveen Kumar.
The visit marked Kamboj’s first inspection after assuming office and focused on strengthening child welfare services and improving institutional standards.
