The Yamunanagar district administration has stepped up preparations for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls following directions issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI), with July 1, 2026 designated as the qualifying date for the revision exercise.

The review process was discussed during a video conference chaired by Haryana Chief Electoral Officer A. Srinivasan, who reviewed the campaign roadmap, responsibilities of district officials and implementation strategy with Deputy Commissioners across the state.

Subsequently, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Preeti chaired a meeting with Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to assess district-level preparedness and ensure smooth implementation of the revision programme.

The Deputy Commissioner directed officials to strictly adhere to the Election Commission’s guidelines and complete all activities in a transparent, fair and systematic manner.

She informed officials that the draft electoral rolls will be published on July 31, 2026, and copies of the electoral rolls, along with digital versions, will be provided to representatives of all recognised political parties in the district.
