Students at two girls’ schools receive table tennis equipment and notebooks as part of the club’s ongoing community outreach initiatives

The Rotary Club of Yamunanagar on Wednesday organised two community service projects aimed at encouraging sports participation and supporting education among schoolgirls by distributing sports equipment and learning materials. The first initiative was held at Hindu Girls Senior Secondary School, where the club donated table tennis rackets, table tennis balls and a table tennis net to promote sports activities among students. The project was coordinated by Ann Meenu Taluja and Rotarian Aman Taluja. Among those present were Club President Rotarian Abhishek Dutta, Treasurer Rotarian Sumit Gupta, Ann Amisha Vasudeva, Past President Rotarian Sanjay Pahuja, Rotarian Raman Jaggi and Rotarian Anuj Garg. The second project took place at Arya Kanya School, where students were provided with table tennis rackets and notebooks to support both sports and academic development. The initiative was led by Ann Divya Mittal and Rotarian Rahul Mittal. The programme was attended by Club President Rotarian Abhishek Dutta, Treasurer Rotarian Sumit Gupta, Past President Rotarian Sanjay Pahuja, Rotarian Aman Taluja and Rotarian Jaideep Singh. Adding a special touch to the event, Anaisha Dutta, daughter of Club President Abhishek Dutta, and Rahil Mittal, son of Rotarian Rahul Mittal, also participated alongside their parents, reflecting Rotary’s emphasis on involving the younger generation in community service. Addressing the gathering, Rotarian Abhishek Dutta said the Rotary Club remains committed to promoting education and sports through meaningful service initiatives that inspire young students to achieve their full potential. Past President Rotarian Sanjay Pahuja said both education and sports are essential for the holistic development of children, adding that the club would continue to undertake programmes that contribute to the welfare of society. Treasurer Rotarian Sumit Gupta said Rotary’s objective is to ensure that students, particularly those in need, have access to educational resources and sporting opportunities that help them build confidence and develop their skills.
