Pratap Nagar police conduct intensive searches at suspected drug-related locations as part of district-wide crackdown on narcotics

Yamunanagar police on Wednesday conducted a special combing operation in the Devdhar area of Pratap Nagar police station jurisdiction as part of the district-wide campaign against drug trafficking. Acting on the directions of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, police teams carried out searches at suspected locations with the assistance of a narcotic detection dog.
The operation focused on locations identified as potentially linked to drug-related activities. Police teams conducted intensive searches of selected houses and other suspicious places in an effort to detect and recover any narcotic substances that may have been concealed there.
According to the police spokesperson, the operation was part of a continuing campaign being conducted across Yamunanagar district to curb drug trafficking and prevent the spread of narcotics. The searches were also aimed at maintaining a strong deterrent against anti-social elements and reinforcing the presence of law enforcement in areas considered vulnerable to drug-related activity.
During Wednesday’s operation, police personnel accompanied by a narcotic detection dog searched selected houses in the Devdhar area. Each location was examined carefully, with the dog assisting officers in checking places where narcotic substances could potentially have been hidden and might not be readily detected during a routine search.
Police personnel also remained alert to suspicious activity in the surrounding area during the operation. Local residents were questioned where necessary as officers sought information that could assist the ongoing campaign against narcotics.
The search operation was conducted by a team from Pratap Nagar police station under the supervision of station in-charge Rohtash Singh. Dog handler Sachin also actively participated in the operation and assisted the police team during the searches.
The police said the entire operation was conducted in a systematic and peaceful manner while following the prescribed procedure. The use of a narcotic detection dog enabled officers to examine specific locations more thoroughly, particularly areas where drugs could potentially be concealed.

The SP also appealed to members of the public to cooperate with the police campaign. Residents who have information about drug trafficking, the sale of narcotics or other suspicious activities in their areas have been urged to immediately inform the police.
