BJP state secretary and former mayor Madan Chauhan met Union Minister for Power and Urban Development Manohar Lal Khattar and held detailed discussions on a range of contemporary issues, matters concerning public welfare and development priorities in the region. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, with the two leaders exchanging views on ongoing development activities and organisational matters.
During the meeting, Chauhan welcomed Manohar Lal Khattar by presenting him with a shawl. The interaction also provided an opportunity to discuss issues concerning the region and the progress of development works being undertaken with the support of the Centre and the state government.
Khattar appreciated Chauhan’s contribution to the Bharatiya Janata Party organisation and said his efforts in strengthening the party organisation had remained important. He also discussed with Chauhan the development works currently underway in the region as well as various organisational activities.
The Union minister said both the central and state governments were giving priority to public welfare and continuously working to accelerate development. He said government programmes were being implemented with the objective of ensuring that the benefits of development reach people across different sections of society.
Khattar also referred to the achievements of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the country was continuing to move forward on the path of development. He said India’s economy had been witnessing continued growth and that the central government was approving schemes aimed at addressing public needs while also focusing on their effective implementation.
According to Khattar, the government’s development approach is centred on ensuring that the benefits of infrastructure, welfare and economic progress reach every section of society. He said the Centre and the states were working to strengthen development initiatives and improve public facilities.
The discussion also covered the importance of continuing development activities at the regional level. Chauhan apprised the Union minister of issues concerning the area and discussed matters related to ongoing and proposed development works.
Chauhan said Khattar’s role in the Union Cabinet was a matter of pride for Haryana. He said Khattar’s long political and administrative experience had benefited the state and could continue to contribute to its development.
He said Khattar’s experience in administration and governance could provide further momentum to development projects in areas such as basic infrastructure, power and urban development. These sectors, he said, were closely connected with the everyday needs of citizens and the long-term growth of urban and semi-urban areas.
Chauhan also said that cooperation from the central government was creating new possibilities for development in Haryana, including Yamunanagar. He said the state had significant scope for further improvement in infrastructure and public facilities and that continued coordination between the Centre, state government and local representatives could help translate these possibilities into concrete projects.
During the meeting, Chauhan placed various issues concerning the region before Khattar and sought his cooperation in resolving them. He discussed matters related to development and public needs and requested appropriate support for taking the issues forward.
The meeting also highlighted the role of local party representatives in communicating regional concerns to senior leaders at the state and central levels.
