Chief Minister discusses development projects and public welfare initiatives during courtesy visit

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini paid a courtesy visit to the residence of Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora on Sunday, where he was warmly welcomed by the legislator, his family members and local BJP workers.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister enquired about the well-being of the MLA and his family. The interaction took place in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the strong rapport between the state leadership and local representatives.
The two leaders also held an informal discussion on the development of the Yamunanagar Assembly constituency, implementation of public welfare schemes and organisational matters. Chief Minister Saini reiterated that the Haryana Government remains committed to ensuring balanced development across the state and delivering the benefits of government schemes to every eligible citizen.
Expressing gratitude for the visit, MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora said the Chief Minister’s presence at his residence was a matter of pride and encouragement for party workers as well as the people of the constituency.
He said that whenever he gets an opportunity to meet the Chief Minister, he places before him the developmental needs and priorities of Yamunanagar, with the objective of securing more public welfare projects for the constituency.
Several public representatives, senior BJP leaders, party workers and prominent citizens were present during the visit.
Students Pledge to Protect Saplings Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign in Jagadhri
As part of the nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, a plantation drive was organised at Model Sanskriti Government Senior Secondary School, Jagadhri, under the leadership of District Project Officer (Samagra Shiksha) K.S. Sandhawa.

Students of Classes XI and XII, along with teachers, enthusiastically planted saplings and pledged to nurture them until they grow into healthy trees, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility.
Addressing the gathering, K.S. Sandhawa said rising global warming and environmental pollution have become major challenges worldwide, making large-scale plantation drives the need of the hour. He emphasised that increasing green cover is essential for cleaner air, better public health and ecological balance.
He noted that the monsoon season provides ideal conditions for plantation, as saplings have a higher survival rate during this period. Sandhawa urged students and citizens to turn plantation into a people’s movement by taking responsibility for the care and protection of every tree planted.
The students collectively resolved to plant at least one sapling during the monsoon season and ensure its regular care until it grows into a strong tree.
School Principal Mohammad Javed highlighted that environmental conservation is not merely a campaign but a moral responsibility of every citizen. He encouraged students to actively participate in protecting nature and spreading awareness within their communities.
Teachers and students participated enthusiastically in the programme and reaffirmed their commitment to preserving the environment for future generations.
