Renowned educationist, institution-builder and author Dr M. K. Sehgal released three books at a ceremony held at St Lawrence International School in Jagadhri, Yamunanagar. The books—Zindagi Ke 100 Life Funde, 100 Life Funda and When Will Children Think About Their Parents?—address practical lessons drawn from life, positive thinking and the importance of understanding relationships within families.

The event brought together prominent personalities from education, industry, healthcare and social service, along with friends, well-wishers and members of the local community. Those attending congratulated Dr Sehgal on his literary initiative and appreciated the effort to communicate useful life lessons and social values through books.

Dr Rajni Sehgal, chairperson, welcomed the guests. Among the distinguished attendees were Rajesh Sapra, district president of the Bharatiya Janata Party; industrialist and social worker Ashwani Singla; Dr Sanjay Arora, registrar of Gurugram University; Raman Saluja, president of Haryana Laghu Udyog Bharati; Sameera Saluja, secretary general of VJCCCI; Dr Mahesh Sharma; K. S. Sandhawa, deputy district education officer; Dr Iyer; and industrialist Ashwani Goyal.

Three Books, One Broad Purpose

Explaining the ideas behind his publications, Dr Sehgal said Zindagi Ke 100 Life Funde is a Hindi book based on practical experiences and observations from everyday life. Its English version, 100 Life Funda, makes the same collection of lessons accessible to English-speaking readers.

The books draw on ordinary incidents and experiences to present lessons intended to help readers develop a positive outlook, make thoughtful decisions and reflect on human values. Their focus is on the practical aspects of life: how people respond to situations, learn from experience and apply those lessons to their choices and relationships.

Rather than treating everyday experiences as isolated events, the books encourage readers to consider what can be learned from them. The central idea is that small observations and reflections can contribute to better judgement, a more constructive attitude and a greater awareness of the values that shape personal and social life.

A Book on Parent-Child Relationships

The third book, When Will Children Think About Their Parents?, turns to a significant family and social question. It examines the emotional distance that can develop between parents and children amid changing social circumstances, differing expectations and the pressures of everyday life.

The book highlights the need for both generations to understand one another’s feelings, circumstances and contributions. It seeks to encourage greater empathy, mutual respect and meaningful communication, with the aim of strengthening family relationships through love, trust and understanding.

A Focus on Intergenerational Understanding

The subject of the third book reflects a concern that family relationships require attention and effort from both sides. Parents and children may experience life differently, and their expectations do not always align. The book seeks to encourage reflection on these differences and the importance of acknowledging the emotions and experiences of each generation.

Its central message is the value of dialogue rather than distance. By encouraging readers to consider the perspectives of both parents and children, the book aims to promote stronger emotional connections and a more thoughtful approach to family responsibilities.

Guests at the ceremony appreciated Dr Sehgal’s effort to present life experiences in a simple and accessible form. They observed that positive thinking, ethical values and strong family relationships remain important in a rapidly changing society. They also emphasised that books of this kind can encourage readers not merely to absorb ideas but to reflect on their own conduct and relationships. The family-focused publication particularly underlined the importance of communication, respect and emotional connection between parents and children.

Digital Access for International Readers

Dr Sehgal said his two English-language books are available digitally worldwide through Amazon Kindle. Digital availability allows readers in different countries to access the publications beyond the immediate geographical reach of the launch event.

The release of the three books therefore brought together two related themes: lessons for personal development and the importance of sustaining relationships within families. While the first two books focus on practical wisdom drawn from life experiences, the third addresses the emotional and social responsibilities that connect generations.
