CM Nayab Singh Saini Pays Last Respects to RSS Pracharak Jagdish Mittal in Jagadhri

Chief Minister describes noted social worker’s death as an irreparable loss to society, education and nation-building

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini visited Jagadhri on Friday to pay his last respects to noted social worker and senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak Jagdish Mittal, who passed away on Thursday. The Chief Minister offered flowers at the mortal remains of the veteran social worker and met his bereaved family to express his condolences.

Jagdish Mittal’s last rites were performed on Friday amid a sombre atmosphere. His death has led to an outpouring of grief among people in the region, particularly those associated with social, educational and community institutions with which he had been closely connected.

During his visit, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed deep sorrow over Mittal’s demise and recalled his contribution to society. He said the passing away of Jagdish Mittal was an irreparable loss to society as well as to various social and educational institutions.

The Chief Minister said Mittal had devoted a significant part of his life to social service, education and nation-building. Through his long-standing involvement in these fields, he contributed to community welfare and worked for the strengthening of institutions serving society, Saini said.

The Chief Minister paid tribute to the departed social worker by offering flowers at his mortal remains before meeting members of the bereaved family. He conveyed his condolences and offered support to the family during their time of grief.

The funeral was attended by a large number of public representatives, officials and prominent personalities from the region. Cabinet Minister Anil Vij was among those who attended the occasion and paid respects to the departed soul. Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora was also present, along with Banto Kataria, Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Castes.

Mukesh Garg, Chairman of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission, also attended the last rites. Former Cabinet Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar, Yamunanagar Mayor Suman Bahmani, Chairman Rakesh Tyagi, former Chairman Rameshwar Chauhan and former Chairman Ram Niwas Garg were among the other prominent personalities present.

Chief Minister’s Officer on Special Duty Bhopal Khadri also attended the occasion, along with several other dignitaries and members of the local community.
