BJP State Secretary and former Mayor Madan Chauhan congratulated former Haryana BJP state vice-president and former Ambala Lok Sabha candidate Banto Kataria on her appointment as Chairperson of the Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Castes. He expressed confidence that her experience, organisational understanding and leadership skills would benefit members of the Scheduled Castes and other disadvantaged sections across the state.

Chauhan said Banto Kataria had remained associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party for a long time and had played an important role in strengthening the organisation. He said the new responsibility reflected the trust and confidence placed in her by the party leadership.

He expressed hope that Kataria would discharge her new responsibility with dedication, integrity and sensitivity. According to Chauhan, her experience would help give fresh momentum to efforts aimed at ensuring social justice, equal opportunities and empowerment of marginalised communities.

He said the Scheduled Castes Commission has an important role in addressing the grievances of people belonging to Scheduled Castes and protecting their legitimate rights. He expressed confidence that under Kataria’s leadership, the commission would work effectively and strengthen efforts to ensure that eligible and needy people receive justice and assistance.

Recalling the contribution of former MP and senior BJP leader late Rattan Lal Kataria, Chauhan said he had remained deeply committed to the BJP throughout his political career. He said Kataria worked consistently to strengthen the party organisation while also contributing to the development of society and the region.

“His simplicity, dedication and commitment to the organisation continue to be remembered with respect by BJP workers,” Chauhan said.

He added that Banto Kataria had also remained actively involved in social and political activities alongside her late husband for a long period. Her appointment to an important constitutional responsibility was therefore a matter of happiness and pride for party workers as well, he said.

Chauhan expressed confidence that Banto Kataria would use her experience and sensitive approach to effectively discharge the responsibilities of the Scheduled Castes Commission and work firmly for the interests of weaker and deprived sections.

He once again extended his congratulations and best wishes to Kataria and wished her a successful tenure.
