The Yamunanagar district administration has begun preparations for the nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which will be observed across Haryana from August 2 to August 15, 2026, with a series of patriotic programmes aimed at strengthening national unity and encouraging citizens to proudly display the National Flag.
The preparations were reviewed following a video conference chaired by Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, who briefed Deputy Commissioners across the state on the implementation roadmap and the three-phase campaign planned by the state government.
After the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Preeti issued detailed instructions to all district heads, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and departmental officers to ensure the successful execution of the campaign through coordinated efforts and active public participation.
She said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is a significant initiative to reinforce the spirit of patriotism, national integration and respect for the Indian Tricolour.
“As part of the campaign, a wide range of activities including Tiranga Yatras, Tiranga Pledge ceremonies, marathons, fairs, canvas painting competitions, Vande Mataram recitals, the National Anthem, and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga–Har Ghar Swachhta’ programmes will be organised at the Anganwadi, village, block and district levels,” she said.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all government offices, educational institutions, Panchayat buildings, urban local bodies and other public establishments to hoist the National Flag with due dignity during the campaign period in accordance with the Flag Code of India.
She also urged officials to motivate citizens to hoist the Tricolour at their homes and actively participate in campaign activities.
To maximise public outreach, schools, colleges, self-help groups, youth organisations and social institutions have been asked to organise awareness rallies, prabhat pheris, oath-taking ceremonies and other community engagement programmes throughout the district.
Emphasising the importance of the National Flag, DC Preeti said the Tricolour represents India’s identity, sacrifice, dignity and collective pride.
“The Tricolour is not merely a flag; it symbolises the nation’s honour, freedom and the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters. Through this campaign, we must inspire the younger generation to cherish these values and keep the spirit of patriotism alive,” she said.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed all departments to regularly monitor the progress of campaign activities, complete assigned tasks within the stipulated timeline and submit reports to the district administration.
She also stressed that strict adherence to the Flag Code of India must be ensured while hoisting the National Flag, adding that there should be no compromise with the dignity and respect of the Tricolour.
The review meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Naveen Ahuja, Jagadhri SDM Vishwanath, Vyaspur SDM Dr Kuldeep Singh, Chhachhrauli SDM Jaspal Singh Gill, Radaur SDM Narendra Kumar, DSP Kanwaljeet Singh, City Magistrate Piyush Gupta, DDPO Narendra Singh, DIPRO Dr Manoj Kumar, District Education Officer Prem Lata, and officers from various government departments.
