The Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation has emerged as Haryana’s top-performing urban local body in the ongoing Property ID verification drive, achieving the highest verification rate among all municipal corporations in the state.
According to official data, 1,31,106 out of 2,17,777 properties in the municipal area have been successfully verified, taking the city’s verification rate to 60.20 per cent. The achievement places Yamunanagar ahead of other major municipal corporations, including Panipat, Hisar, Manesar, Karnal and Gurugram.
Municipal Commissioner Mahabir Prasad said Property ID verification is crucial for maintaining accurate ownership records and ensuring citizens receive seamless municipal services. He appealed to all property owners whose properties are yet to be verified to complete the process without delay.
The city’s performance was recently appreciated during a Municipal House meeting, where Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora and Mayor Suman Bahmani congratulated the Municipal Commissioner, officers and employees for securing the number one position in the state.
Explaining the verification process, Mahabir Prasad said property owners can verify their Property ID online through the NDC portal by creating a new registration, logging in with their registered mobile number and searching for their Property ID. If the displayed information is correct, users can approve the Property ID online. In case of incorrect details, they can submit objections along with supporting documents through the portal.
Citizens who are unable to complete the process online can visit the Citizen Facilitation Centres (CFCs) at any of the three Municipal Corporation offices, where officials are providing assistance for Property ID verification.
