The Inner Wheel Club Jagadhri Yamunanagar, in association with Rotractors, organised a blood donation camp at the ISKCON Temple with the aim of supporting children living with thalassemia. The camp received an encouraging response, with 21 voluntary donors participating and a total of 42 units of blood being collected for children who require regular transfusions.

The initiative was organised keeping in view the continuing need for blood among children affected by thalassemia. The collected blood will be made available to support their transfusion requirements. Through the camp, the organisers also sought to encourage voluntary blood donation and underline the importance of community participation in helping patients who depend on regular blood support.

Regular Service Initiatives for Thalassemia Support

The Inner Wheel Club Jagadhri Yamunanagar has been organising blood donation and other service-oriented initiatives keeping in mind the needs of children living with thalassemia. Such activities are aimed at supporting the availability of blood for patients and creating greater awareness about voluntary donation as a meaningful form of community service.

For children requiring regular transfusions, timely access to blood can be an important part of ongoing medical care. The club’s initiative therefore focused both on collecting blood and on encouraging more people to understand the value of voluntary donation. The participation of donors at the camp reflected the willingness of community members to contribute to a cause involving children in need of continuing support.

Dedicated Team Ensures Smooth Organisation

Club president Ragini Vinayak, project chairman and treasurer Parul Khanna, secretary Nidhi Garg, Pooja Goyal, Payal Garg and Poonam Garg were present at the camp and extended active support to the programme. Their participation helped coordinate the various arrangements and encouraged donors to take part in the service initiative.

Project chairman Parul Khanna looked after the arrangements of the camp with dedication and responsibility. She personally supervised the different aspects of the programme and paid attention to the requirements of donors and the overall conduct of the camp. The organisers said that her involvement helped ensure that the event was managed smoothly and that participants received the necessary support.

To make the experience more convenient for blood donors, the club also arranged milk bottles and bananas for participants. Such arrangements were made as part of the organisers’ efforts to provide basic refreshments and support to those who volunteered to donate blood.

Family Members Also Join Blood Donation Effort

Club member Payal Garg, along with her husband and family members, also donated blood at the camp. Their participation added a personal dimension to the service initiative and helped reinforce the message that voluntary blood donation can begin with individual and family participation.

The organisers appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the donors and Rotractors during the camp. Their collective participation contributed to the successful completion of the blood collection programme and helped the club advance its objective of supporting children who require regular blood transfusions.

Club President Thanks Donors and Volunteers

On the occasion, club president Ragini Vinayak expressed gratitude to all blood donors, Rotractors and members associated with the organisation of the camp. She said that children living with thalassemia require regular blood support and that voluntary donation can play an important role in helping meet this continuing need.

She appealed to members of the community to come forward for voluntary blood donation on a regular basis and extend support to people in need. She also appreciated the donors who participated in the camp and contributed their time and effort towards the service initiative.

Commitment to Continued Community Service

The Inner Wheel Club Jagadhri Yamunanagar said it would continue organising blood donation camps and other service projects for children living with thalassemia as well as other patients in need. The club’s ongoing efforts are aimed at combining direct community support with awareness about voluntary blood donation.

The blood donation camp concluded with active participation from donors and volunteers. The collection of 42 units of blood through 21 voluntary donors provided a tangible contribution towards the stated objective of supporting thalassemia-affected children and promoting a culture of voluntary community service.
