Yamunanagar Police Conducts Narcotics Search Operation in Devdhar
Yamunanagar Police conducted a special combing and search operation in the Devdhar area of Pratap Nagar police station on Wednesday as part of its ongoing campaign against drug trafficking and substance-related activities in the district.
According to the police spokesperson, the operation was carried out on the directions of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal. Police teams searched selected houses and other locations identified as potential spots where narcotic substances could be concealed. A narcotics detection dog was also deployed to assist the search operation.
Searches Conducted at Identified Locations
During the operation, the police team carried out detailed searches at selected premises in the Devdhar area. Each location was examined carefully with the objective of detecting any narcotic substances that might have been hidden there.
The police also maintained vigilance over suspicious activities in the surrounding area and made necessary inquiries from local residents during the operation. The use of a narcotics detection dog was intended to assist personnel in checking places where concealed substances might not be easily detected through a routine visual search.

The police said the entire search operation was carried out in a systematic and peaceful manner while following the prescribed procedure. The narcotics detection dog was used to examine locations where police suspected that prohibited substances could potentially be concealed.
The operation also involved monitoring activity around the locations being searched. Police personnel remained alert to information or circumstances that could assist in identifying possible links to drug-related activity in the area.

SP Says Anti-Drug Operations Will Continue
Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal said similar operations against drug traffickers would continue across the district. He said the police were working with the objective of protecting young people from substance abuse and strengthening efforts towards a drug-free society.
The SP said anyone found involved in activities related to the sale, purchase or trafficking of narcotic substances would face action in accordance with the law. The police have indicated that sustained enforcement and local vigilance would remain important components of the campaign against drug-related activities.

The police have also appealed to residents to inform law-enforcement authorities if they notice suspected drug trafficking or other suspicious activities in their locality. The police said information provided by citizens would be kept confidential.
