Yadav Sabha Jagadhri-Yamunanagar Pays Tribute to the Great Freedom Fighter on His Martyrdom Day

Yadav Sabha Jagadhri-Yamunanagar observed the martyrdom day of Maharaja Rao Tula Ram with respect, remembering his contribution to the 1857 uprising and his enduring legacy of courage, sacrifice and social responsibility.
The programme was organised at Yadav Sabha Bhawan near Sarpanch Dharam Kanta, Mandoli, where children, women and men from different sections of society participated and paid floral tribute to the statue of the great freedom fighter.
Tribute to a Legacy of Courage and Sacrifice
The programme began with the offering of flowers by chief guest Dr Atul Yadav, president of Yadav Sabha Kurukshetra, and special guest Balwant Yadav, president of Yadav Sabha Ambala, along with office-bearers and other participants. Those present recalled the contribution and sacrifice of Maharaja Rao Tula Ram and reflected on the importance of preserving the memory of freedom fighters for future generations.
The programme was conducted by Dr Ravish Chauhan, who briefed the gathering about the event and its objectives.
Yadav Sabha Jagadhri-Yamunanagar president Jai Prakash Yadav, along with Daya Ram Yadav, Ram Kripal Yadav, Amar Yadav, Pawan Yadav, Manoj Yadav, Parmanand Yadav, Ram Krishna Yadav and Dr Devendra Yadav, honoured the chief and special guests with floral garlands.
Dr Atul Yadav Recalls Rao Tula Ram’s Role in 1857
Addressing the gathering, Dr Atul Yadav spoke about the life and struggle of Maharaja Rao Tula Ram and his role in the 1857 uprising against British rule.
He said Rao Tula Ram played an important role in the struggle against British authority during the 1857 revolt and dedicated his life to the cause of the country. According to Dr Yadav, his courage, leadership and patriotism continue to provide inspiration to society.
Dr Yadav said the sacrifice of Rao Tula Ram should not remain confined to historical accounts but should be communicated to younger generations so that young people can understand the responsibilities associated with the nation and society.
He said the ideals associated with Rao Tula Ram’s life could continue to inspire people to work for the larger interests of society and the country.
Speakers Stress the Responsibility of the Next Generation
The Sabha was also addressed by Jai Prakash Yadav, Amar Yadav, Pawan Pratap Yadav, Manoj Kumar Yadav and Parmanand Yadav, besides other speakers. They highlighted different aspects of Rao Tula Ram’s life and said that preserving the memory of freedom fighters and communicating their struggles to younger generations was a collective responsibility.
The speakers called upon young people to learn about the country’s history and understand the contribution of national heroes and freedom fighters. They said that knowledge of the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle can help strengthen a sense of civic responsibility and respect for the country’s historical legacy.
The programme also provided an opportunity for members of the Sabha and participants to discuss the importance of remembering freedom fighters and social reformers whose contributions remain part of the region’s historical and social consciousness.
Guests Honoured with Mementoes
During the programme, the Sabha presented mementoes to Dr Atul Yadav, Balwant Yadav, Dr Ravish Chauhan and Jai Prakash Yadav in recognition of their participation and contribution to social activities. The organisers expressed their gratitude to the guests and participants during the felicitation ceremony.
The presentation of mementoes was followed by further discussion on social responsibility and the need to preserve traditions that connect younger generations with the history and contribution of great personalities.

Dr Devendra Yadav said Yadav Sabha would continue working for the welfare of society as a whole. He also emphasised the need for sustained awareness campaigns against social evils.
He specifically mentioned dowry, drug abuse and illiteracy as issues requiring collective efforts. He said education, social awareness, mutual brotherhood and unity could play an important role in strengthening society and creating a more responsible social environment.

The organisers said the programme was intended not only to commemorate Maharaja Rao Tula Ram but also to encourage people to understand the values associated with his life and sacrifice.
